Just spent an hour switching our BB from virgin over to BT, had nothing but problems and BT were offering 3x faster speed on our line for £2.01 a month LESS !! AND.... that included a free "home hub" so i can get wireless internet on my laptop finally! WAHOOOOO!! :j :j :j

We decided to get BT vision too for the setanta sports deal... so ordered that. Which also included the film and kids package. Works out at £144 a year more expensive in the long run for the both but in the first year it was only £108.76 extra for whole year and i went through quidco so hoping to get £100 cashback!!! But as martin says I cant count on that incase it doesnt track!

BUT Its worth the £12 a month just so i have the wireless net and the ability to watch the Liverpool matches at home!!Currently I have to go to my mums house with the baby cos my dad has setanta whilst OH gets to go the pub - nice eh!!! So might save us money in the long run as he pays for 3/4 pints in the pub, then will guarnteed play on the fruit machine with least a fiver.... and then if he meets his mates ....the pub they go to is a £1.50 bus ride there and £10 cab home for OH cos they live so far away + the cost of rounds at the bar!!

So that £12 a month could be very MSE!:money:

Anyway......................... Flylady list still to do for the week now looks like this:

Monday Mayhem - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Vacuum through the living room, hall and stairs
Clean windows and all glass.. including the tv screen
Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself

Tuesday Trauma - Kitchen and Dining Room

    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    Sweep and mop floors
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, microwave etc
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances kick boards..

wipe over the oven and hob

    Afternoon ladies

Fracture clinic was packed but we got seen in about 3o minutes. DS is replastered and we can take the plaster off ourselves in 3 weeks so no more appointments.

Beany - I'm glad your DH has his cast off. I hope you get some rest later after yesterday. Re the potty training, they often change their time of day once you start training just like kids often change their time once they start school.

Going to do my list now and try to get on for the next 2 hours until school pick up.

  • Decided while I was in the mood to set myself another challenge and try to get the kitchen done in 30 mins - took me 50! so not too bad, so now I have done:

Tuesday Trauma - Kitchen and Dining Room
    [strike]
    Level One
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
    [/strike]
    Level Two
    [strike]Sweep[/strike]and mop floors
Clean the fridge... get rid of all those furry things growing in corners!
[strike]Wipe dining table... (Clean table cloth if necessary)[/strike]
    Level Three
[strike]Dust any extra furniture in dining area,[/strike]
[strike]checking for cobwebs on way round[/strike]
[strike]Wipe and replace all those small appliances... kettle, microwave etc [/strike]
[strike]Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. Don’t forget those kick boards...[/strike] Needed to do this around where the dishwasher is - why do Men decide to just tip whatever is in the cup/bowl straight in the dishwasher without emptying it first?
Clean out your mankiest kitchen cupboard...
    Extra Mission: help yourself
[strike] Run the WM through 'clean cycle'... hottish wash with a splosh of vinegar, soda crystals bleach... whatever you fancy just clear those pipes of gunge! [/strike][strike]
[/strike] Sort of did this last night as put dog towels in on highest setting with a load of soda in with them - actually came out smelling nice for once!
[strike]Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps... a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk![/strike]
    31 fling boogie...
[strike]Wipe over the oven and hob –[/strike] This was really rough
[strike] Empty the bin... wash it out... and make it smell SWEET[/strike]

  • DD has had her jabs and both kids are asleep. Am going to have lunch and watch something on the skyplus, Will try and do some more flying before DS wakes up. Really need to go to post office but it is bucketing down. Will give it til 4 o clock and then will just have to get wet!

Johanne - We are paying for the Setanta sports through sky (we have full package which costs a bomb but as we hardly go out I justify it:o ). DH cancelled his blackburn season ticket this season and this was the compromise. Like you said it stops the money in the pub too.

Dusty - Glad fracture clinic went well for your DS and he won't be in plaster for too long. DH has to go for physio now and no sports for 8 weeks. He says he has forgotten how to walk:rotfl:

just gone to quidco and £80 has tracked already!!! :T :T :T granted its not the £100 that its supposed to be....but £80 is still great as that makes it only £28ish more for 1st year than we were paying anyway and that includes the £10 for the setanta card! so woop!! (will keep eye though see if it increases to £100 when validated :p )

Feel really mean now - just gave small blacl blob his stronghold - he probably won't speak to me for days now, but I noticed flea pooh when he was sitting on the white tiled windowsill so it had to be done. He's now frantically washing himself outside.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
