Offensive Customer Services at Tesco and 19 Months out of date food.

I value my time.
So I wouldn't waste it on something where I wouldn't be certain of the outcome.
I value my time as well and if I found 2 products long out of date I wouldn't bother contacting Tescos I would go straight to Envirnomental Health in the area. (There details can always be found on line.)
Large companies like to cover these matters up and it's only when the press or regulatory body gets involved do they take the matter seriously.
My local largest Tesco's in London was fined by Environmental Health about 3 years back for having mice in the store and having out of date food on display. They apparently had quite a few warnings before Environmental Health fined them. Apparently according to other sources this particular council's EHO's are on the ball.
Some Environmental Health Departments are on the ball others are not, but until you make a complaint you won't know this.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Most sensible. But I bet you the store passes any inspection. Thats the thing. Things like this tend to be rare but will keep happening due to tight staffing levels. It will somehow maintain itself so they just manage to pass an inspection but they'll always be something out of date somewhere that gets missed.
It'll mainly depend if the EHO's can find it. Thats what the Supermarkets know, they won't have time to check the whole store, it would take far too long. Head Offices know whats going on, local management will plough resources into the main areas like chilled food but other areas will get missed from time to time.
This will happen for eternity for the reason I mentioned in my previous post. You'll never really get anywhere complaining even if it is the EH departments.0 -
uktim29, I have no experience of uploading images to websites and cannot be bothered with the hassle. You are inferring that I am either an idiot or you think I am lying. If you want proof then just send me your address and I will send you the picture. I couldn't care less either way. I do not have great faith that this matter will be sorted adequately but I would like a reasoned response to it from someone higher up the chain.
Also, for someone that values their time you are wasting quite a lot of it by being sceptical and rude on this thread.
I can understand sending abuse to people that complain purely to see what financial gain they can make out of the circumstances, I am not one of those people. If you haven't got anything constructive to add then why just post replies that are rude accusational and very arrogant?0 -
Surely you'll have to press less buttons just uploading it to a site rather than having to type in an email address and send the email and attach the pic to the email?
To be honest UKTim, I wouldn't bother doing either if I was the OP. Proving it to you doesn't really affect anything, does it?
Haven't Tesco already admitted that it was out of date?0 -
I'm self employed at home. I'm on my lunch break.:p
You give yourself a lunch break? Do you get in trouble if you're late back?
back to op - I would have thought if EHO get several complaints, all with evidence then they will act.0 -

There http://imageshack.us/, it's easier than sending an email. Press browse, it's exactly the same as sending an email attachment. Also, for someone that values their time you are wasting quite a lot of it by being sceptical and rude on this thread.
Actually I'm not being rude, I'm just asking questions. Sceptical yes and also thorough.0
