Morning,
What a cold morning here! It really foggy, but i can see the sun is trying to come through. Hopefully in an hour or so the fog will have gone.
To do list today
- Jack my car up and sort out my sticking brakes! OH will do that i will watch!Fingers crossed the brake pads will be ok and not need replacing after sticking on the whole time while ive been driving around!
- Go to freeport discount village to look at Golf clubs...OH said he will buy me a set with some of his bingo winnings (that his suppose to be putting on his debt!). But i only want one club..a driver to go to the driving range with him.
- Go to Boots to stock up on some more glitches...im hoping its still working so i can get the massager, x 2 pedicure set for £10.
- Do surveys waiting in my inbox, must do the toluna ones too!
- Pay asda bill for petrol - £40
Now i just need to force myself into the bath...it will be soooo cold when i get out!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
DO you just take the chance with the boots glitches Maria? I'd be scared it wouldn't come up then i'd have to pay more for the items. I'm a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to thinks like that.
OOoo some golf clubs, check you out. I remember when i was looking for a pair of golf shoes, some wicked ladies ones out there. I saw a really nice pink pair, so much better then the shoes the guys have to wear.
Hope your cars all okay!!!0 -
morning Hayley,
The Boots i go to has self scan tills now, so i got to them and if the glitch doesnt work , i just cancel it! But the boots thats nearest to me doesnt have SS tills so i do just take a chance! I have a quick read of boots thread and if there still getting them then i go try!
OH just keeps going on about Golf since last night! You saying about pink golf shoes his found a hole set of pink golf clubs on ebay for £99 and wants to get them for me! But all i want is one driver club! As i dont think i going to be very good at Golf or might not even like it! And deffo dont want £100 going on golf clubs!
Yeah fingers crossed about my brake's, i took it to my local garage as the steering didnt feel safe. They looked over it for free as i always go there and he found it was the left brake was stuck on. So while im driving around its on trying to stop me, so the car is pulling to the left the whole time. Luckly OH worked at a tyre/brake fitting place for a couple of years so knows how to fix it.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Thats a good idea about the boots SS tills. Do you know if Lakeside have SS tills? I'm off to Essex later to visit my best mate and i think she wants to go Lakeside this evening, so i might pop in if they have SS tills. I know bluewater do.
A whole set of pink clubs, wow. I'd love them, but again like you i'm not very good at golf so would be a waste of money if they didn't get much use.
Thats very handy to have a partner who can fix cars. My OH isn't bad, but he's not a mechanic so don't think i'd trust him lol.0 -
Im not sure, i havent been to lakeside for ages! Lakeside is OH's worst nightmare..he says i go running off ahead and he follows me like a dog! And i have never driven to lakeside myself as too worried about the roads on the way there, i think we go on the m25 for a few mins and a massive roundabout with traffic lights where evertyone gets in the wrong lanes.
On one of the boots threads they typed a list of all the stores with ss tills. If you wanna do a search for them?
When my OH left school he did mechanics at college but dropped out 2 years into it. I dont trust him 100% i watch over him like a hawk when his doing work on my car. He can only do basic stuff though as hasnt got the ramps or tools to do the rest.
Have fun at Lakeside! the lights in there make me feel dizzy!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Evening,
Well my OH managed to stop the cars brake caliper from sticking and i have tones of pad left so no need to replace...thank god!
We didnt go to the discount village in the end as by the time OH had done car and had a shower it was late afternoon so we're going into town 2moz instead. So a NSD after all
My OH took one of the mirrors for his mums xmas present so thats £10 back in my purse.
Unfortunalty Boots have susted the glitch with no7 electricalsSo i cant stock up for xmas presents...never mind im sure there will be a different glitch along soon!;)

My old Boots in town doesn't have SS but we have a new one i haven't been to yet so might check that and see if it does.
When i am using loads of baby coupons in Tesco i use SS but am so scared i am gonna get bustedNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Lol me too dawn but Tescos SS tills always beep at me and call over SA because im only spending a small amount in there normally then the money off coupon takes say 80% off and the till dont like that!
Asda's SS tills have coupon slots tapped up but the Adsa are really good with coupons and always take as many as i want when i go there even the moody looking old women! :rotfl:Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750
