    Afternoon all,

    Thanks wendz;)

Had a great end to a horrible week today. Me & work mate were given £30 tip from a man who had left his room in a mess! he also left a crate of becks and 40 ciggy's! So we split the money £15 each and i took the beer & ciggy's for OH as work mate didnt want them!

Also my grandad called last night asking if i could pick him up some bread & milk as they were all out and my aunite who normally brings it couldnt get there. So i popped out last night in the ice and got them some as they are both in there late 80's and didnt want them slipping over!!! My grandad gave me £10 when it only came to £4, i kept giving it back but he wouldnt have it bless him.:)

So thats £21 extra money i have!

Again i did a couple of hours overtime today also.

  • Hi Maria
I have spent the last 2 hours reading your diary and I love how you are keeping so motivated and on track with your goals.
I made my final debt payment at the beginning of this week and like you am going to start saving for a house.
Good luck with reaching your savings target.

    Afternoon,

Ive had a thumping headache all weekend and still have it now. I was a right grumpy guts at work because of it. I just wanted to hide in a corner away from everyones yapping!

Anyway moving on, Ive just gone over £3k in my ISA! Ive just paid in £150 of the £155 of my wages that went in today into my ISA.
So the new total is at £3110!!! :j New deposit total £ 13,510

I wasnt going to pay any into it as ive put the £300 for car insurance on my CC but i had the bill for my CC this morning and the £300 isnt on this bill so i have another month for i will need to pay the card off so can still save most of wages in ISA a couple more weeks:)

Also my paypal money from Ebay items has finally gone into my account.

    Hi all,

If its not snowing its raining! I woke upto floods opposite my house, 2 fishing lakes and a river all combined into one all over miles of fields! But because everywhere was flooded and the cars couldnt get through from other towns i had a nice easy ride to work this mornin....NO TRAFFIC!!:D

An ebay buyer just emailed me to ask if i had posted her item. I did 7 days ago using 1st class recorded so i tracked the item and it says its still at the post office! Called royal mail who said i cant do anything until its been 15 days!!! Its in the system was all they could say. hopefully buyer can wait 15 days.

Did more overtime today, looking like a regular thing now!

    HI,

Another moan about work coming up....the hotel is full again..well its full everyday now and as ive said before we only have half the staff now but its getting worse, people keep phoning in sick leaving just 2 or 3 of us to clean all the 60 rooms in the hotel. Its just too much! from 6 staff 2 years ago now down to 3:confused: And friday it looks like i might be on my own! I reminded the manager that one girl has the day off and if the other girl is still sick i will be on my own and cant do all the 60 rooms myself and he didnt say much really just grinned. My work place are so bad at trying to save money, they keep putting extra jobs just onto us the chambermaids while the bar staff, kitchen staff, office staff etc sit on there !!!!!! all day and are alwasy fully staffed as management have to cover them if there not fully staffed so they make sure they have enough people to cover!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! New job needed badly!!!

Moving on from my rant.... I just claimed another £10 Debenhams voucher from Shopandscan :) so that cheeers me up a little!

And i looked at my clockcard after work and i have 6 hours overtime this week!:D

    Hi

How many rooms can you reasonably do on Friday on your own?

We're suppose to do 9 rooms each. 9am-2pm. As i can stay later than 2pm then 12 rooms is reasonable. It all depends on who have been staying in the rooms atm for the past couple of months we have had uni students staying in the rooms that just stay or or two nights then the next batch of them arrive!, as you can imagine leave the rooms in a total state which is why its so hard atm! It takes a good 10 mins just to take the rubbish & beer cans out of each room!

Anyway, i went in today and the other chambermaid had called i sick too....i know she wasnt really sick coz she text me to say she felt too tired to come in and sorry! So it was just me on my own! We called the girl that has thursdays off and she came into help me. We did 15 rooms each and had to block the rest out for 2moz, a girl from the bar is helping me 2moz now so i wont be on my own. But still rooms will have to be blocked out.

Anyway enough moaning about work. I feel bad as theres people who dont have a job atm and are crying out for extra hours at work. Im happy with the extra hours, just unhappy about the way we're treated. I just wish they would employ at least one more person to cover the girl that last left.

I did earn an extra £25 this week from the extra hours so thats a positive:)
