Yes, I have the Flarke desk that was linked above - cheap and seems to be standing fine (And I managed to build it myself woop - apart from putting the tray thingy on back to front hehe
)... I heart IKEA. Their £1.25 frying pans CANNOT be beaten (Just make sure you take no metal near them and only use wooden spoons or plastic utensils and they stay non stick if treated nicely - I've had my one for nearly a year and a half). Also their vanilla and strawberry candles... they make everywhere smell nice :-D
ahh I see the XD thing ... I taking "heart" to mean you love it??
I struggle to with self-assembly ... I'm actually looking for new pans so if I do go I may have look at theirs...

hi all again,
Well I seem to have solved the problem of where - I searched on google and found a supplier of MDF just around the corner from my house. I went on friday and bought a sheet for the top part (£1 as it was an offcut) and a long piece (£4.60) which a lovely guy cut up for me. I think its the best bit of moneysaving i've done yet!!
Tonight I've realised that I dont know how to attach the two though ... any ideas??

I made a table the other weekend....
I screwed the top bit onto tne legs, but you will probably need a back piece and screw that on to so the legs don't part and collapse
Yeah, heart means love it - I would say that Ashton is easier to get to from Manchester, but not sure about from Preston. What uni you at?

hi,
Thanks!! I guess I'll be off to the hardware shop tommorrow then to sort that out... I think I may need to cut the legs down a bit too as when I rested the MDF part at that height it seemed to high for me ... I hope saws or whatever are reasonable!!
I'm at Uclan, University of Central Lancashire.
