hi everyone!
I have just moved into a new house ... its not a student house (its brillant in fact!!!!!!!) but there is no desk provided in the room. The room is a double but there isnt a great deal of space. I also only have a laptop but a HUGE printer to accomodate so I am looking for ideas on whats the best solution...
I hated the computer work stations that we used to have at home as I thought they were too low and the printer shelf always got in the way. I was even thinking of making/building my own but wouldn't have the first idea on how to go about it.

I was wondering what happened to you top drawer, did you manage to get back into uni alright then?
Have you looked at staples, they might have something useful.0 -
depending on what printer you've got, you could maybe stick it under desk or similar?0

hi top drawer *waves*
since you only have a laptop and printer (ie no seperate keyboard), maybe one of those that's just a tabletop+legs will be better suited for you? the cheapest combination is the basic white one, only a few quid more than the basic one with the sliding keyboard drawer http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S79831622
its also a lot easier to dismantle it and take it with you to the next house when you move out :-)
hope you settle into your new house well0 -
Check a local paper for free ads. Theres always loads of people trying to get rid desks.
Very good prices too.Cashback sites are worth it:
GP Cashback- £50 (£35 paid)
PigsBack- £5.00 (£30 paid)
Topcashback- £40 (£40 paid)
Quidco- £50 (£43 paid)
Ipoints- 500 + 2 CDs claimed0 -

Yes, I think that maybe the way to go unless something comes up closer ... it will be a good day out though as IKEA stores are supposed to be something pretty special ...
