I know how you feel.

I really feel for you guys who's holidays have been cancelled and everyone who's lost their jobs.
I reckon West Ham should play in a plain kit at the weekend - continuing to promote XL seems wrong.0 -
It was suppose to be our first Disney trip this Xmas. The kids were so excited and l had booked a package holiday with TCD which cost us £6000. We had already purchased extra tickets from Disneyworld for The Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and paid in advance for our Xmas dinner with Shamu at Seaworld. Now where do l start trying to get all the money back? All was paid by Halifax Debit Card.
Im now stressed out and took a day off work, thank you XL.0 -
not much of a consilation but maybe you are eligible for the "Chargeback Scheme" It won't replace your holiday or your families disappointment but maybe help you recouperate some of your monies. It was suppose to be our first Disney trip this Xmas. i know of someone caught up in zoom and xl..how unluckyIt is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

I'm not defending them but I imagine 6 months ago they probably would not expected to have disappeared either. Theres a lot of employees who are probably just as upset, they aren't losing a holiday, they're losing their livelihoods.0 -
I agree. I'm sure they did all they possibly could to stay afloat. The airline going into administration was in nobody's best interests (well, except their rivals).I'm not defending them but I imagine 6 months ago they probably would not expected to have disappeared either. I'm sorry, I appreciate you're upset, but try to keep calm and things in perspective.0 -
You don't say who you booked with but First Choice are helping people affected by this in their travel shops by helping to get money back and arranging alternative holidays...even if you booked direct. If you booked through another travel agent go back to them and see if they can help.0

a lousy experience.
re your £6k loss: how did you fund this? was it mostly credit card? if so, there's a good chance you stand a refund to your account.
post more info. someone here may help.
once again, I'm sorry for your troubles.
get some sleep.
p.s. the CEO stands to lose millions ( if that's any consolation ).miladdo0
