looks a bit of a brick this phone0

Here's a thought - Possible free upgrade after 12 months - long contract but 2 free phones?!?!
It's still not a bad deal even over the 24 months,
BUT - it certainly is this most misleading offer I've ever seen, only on the dowloadable PDF does it state the 24th month. I know alot of people that would fall for it (but then again that's it's purpose - sneaky link)!!
Is anyone actually going to write to them - I would but I don't really have any experience with trading standards threats.0 -
What led me to it was the " 18 mths** ". Anything with an asterik gets me searching.
If I have not misinterpreted this, then its way bad practice, (and one I feel needs looked into be the relevant authority) as it will catch a lot of people out (a £180 bill in the last 6 months would upset anyone).
I suppose it just revalidates the advice to always read all the small print.Originally Posted by richardjames73

Yes I agree "sharp practice" re 18/24 months issue.
But the "run-on" cost for months 19 to 24 appears to be £14.50 per month, hence total cost of a "24 month contract" would be £87, equivalent to £3.63 per month. For hidden in the T-Mobile T&Cs is that
" After 18 months, keep half price line rental for as long as you choose, until you upgrade or renew your contract............. After 18 months continue to enjoy ½ price line rental, for as long as you choose** provided you do not upgrade your phone or renew your contract when your initial 18 month contract ends."
This can be found by clicking on the "6 months 1/2 price" box on the Link page.Money Saving Fan.0 -

"Free line rental for 18 months Months 1 to 3 and 15 to 18 are billed at the discounted rate of £14.50 a month (normally £29 per month) £435.00 cash back - equivalent to free line rental for 18 months"
is what I was going by, your quote seems to over-rule this one though. Good to see they pay solicitors huge amounts of money to write this junk - not!Originally Posted by richardjames73

I can't see anything about the line rental being half price after the 18th month.
In any case, who's to say that the line rental on this tariff will not increase during or after the 18th month. Link would argue that they were powerless to stop TMobile hiking their charges, and so it could all end up a lot more expensive than it appears. Unlikely to happen I know, but it is possible.0 -
It is on there, just not that easy to find.
You have to pay out at least £300 in the first year (9 x £29) + (3 x £14.50) before you even get sight of £145 in cashback.Originally Posted by richardjames73

Just a note to say they've changed the T+C on the pdf - you don't now have to stay connected for 24 months. But you do have to wait 24 mnth until you can claim your last cheque.0

They've sold out anyway, although they're still advertising the offer. I've just gone through the whole order process, filled out all the forms, only to be informed at the final click that they're out of stock!!!0

I was able to complete my order? Haven't received any email acknowledgement yet though.
