(((hugs))) at the 5.30 finish... that must be pants.

Wayne went for his induction to the gym this afternoon and sent me a message to say he'd been shown how to use the machines and had a go for 50 minutes and was cream-crackered! His first aim is to lose weight so he'll be using the treadmill, bike and cross trianer then when he wants to 'scult and tone' they'll introduce a wider range of equipment.

He asked if I could come along (being in the pudding club) and they said yes, but I'm seriously restricted to what equipment I can use until after LB arrives.

Went in to town today and bought a couple of knitting patterns and a pair of needles and some wool - I vaguely remember how to knit from when granny taught me 30 years ago so I'll be knitting either a baby cardigan or an octopus jumper. Thankfully I have a couple of relatives who can knit if I get really stuck and there's a group that meets at Border's in Leeds called the Leeds Knitterati so that should be fun to join them and pick their brains for their expertise.

I've just done something very stupid. Everyone who comes to my flat tells me I have too many books, they're piled up all over the place, and I'm constantly being told to have a clear out. So I have done, listed a load on ebay's cheap listing day last week and posted about 20 books and dvds today. So what have I just done? Replied to an offer on freecycle for 25 books. I really am a hopeless case. Not just back to square one but worse than I was before the clear out!

Aww all the smilies off on their hols, I hope they've packed their suncream or they'll all look like this :o (embarrassed smiley) when they get back.

I'm going out with OH tonight then a fairly lazy weekend, apart from a run at some point.

  • I know, I do work at a pretty fab place. In a few weeks they're paying for the whole company to have a day trip to Paris!

I've got 2 hours left of work and it can't go fast enough!

    I feel soooooooooooo rough.

That's not stupid its moneymaking- when you finish the 25 new books you can ebay them and make a profit:p

Oooh I've seen the knitters group in Borders when I've been in there for my book group meeting. I tried to learn to knit a couple of years ago, but found that wool was more expensive than just buying things new (depending on the shops). The main reason I didn't get into it though was fashion. Until woollens with lots of holes and dropped stitches become trendy then there's just no point!

    ppphhhhhhhhhhhhewwwwwwwwwww.

Mad end to a mad, manic week. Imagine taking a deep breath, sticking your head under water and then holding your breath until home time. That's how it's felt all week, just hold your breath and swim as fast as possible!

Over to the weekend, I guess - as many AQA hours as I can handle. OH is out tomorrow night so I could if I really grit my teeth do 10 hours maybe tomorrow and then 5 or 6 Sunday. I'm now also working Monday as they are so busy so I can only AQA Monday afternoon.

I also need to start doing some serious lesson planning - I've got a huge pile of work to do !

Lunch will be ready in a minute - boy, I need it !

Are you going to squeeze in an hour or two to massacre some targets?
