We were extremely impressed - they were freshly baked from the dough, the toppings were good, and the service was fine. A reasonably priced option as we didn't have loads of time, we would certainly return if we get to Leeds again.
do you mean Da Mario's??????

We're going to Leeds for the weekend soon - just me and hubby on a child-free weekend:j Can anyone recommend a place to eat, something a bit special but not special enough to blow our weekend budget IYKWIM!
PS We're staying very close to the railway station.
Well, just got back from our weekend away and thought I'd report back on what we found. Firstly, the hotel was closer to the railway station than we thought - in fact it was directly above it!! The Queens hotel, very nice stay, good breakfast and friendly, informative staff.
We ate at Bibi's as a special treat on the first night, the food was excellent, with courteous and attentive staff. Couldn't fault it.
Second night we ate at Akbars because we hadn't booked for Chaophraya and it was full. Must say we were a bit disappointed with it. We felt very rushed into ordering our food, and we both thought we'd had much better Indian food. However, at the end of the meal, you're given a 'towelette' in a sealed bag to clean your hands (and face)? with, and we saw the waiter clear a table near us and then use the discarded towelette to wipe the table. Yuk!! Maybe we just called at a particulary busy time, but I don't rate their hygiene standards in that regard.
So, to sum up - Leeds, what a place to visit, it's like party central!! Very good hotel, excellent at Bibi's and 4 out of 10 for Akbars.0
