business gas which is cheapest bg eon scottish southern?

my contract ends soon and ive recieved the renewal price
old price 1.99p pkwh and a standing charge of 8.9p
i thought that was expensive a year ago :rotfl:
the renewal contact came through
6.471p pkhw and 8.9 pence standing charge
this price would have rolled on if i didnt contact them, is that a 300% increase i ould have been locked into for a year?
by phoning them and being proactive they now quote
4.2p pkwh and 8.9 standing charge
so, double that of last year. if i didnt phone up it would have been triple meaning that an average monthly bill of 300 quid would have been 900 :eek:
so get phoning around
others as of today
BG - 4.2 8.9 standing
eon 4.2 and 8.9 standing
npower via energy watch 5.01 no standing charge
scottish southern - coming back to me
edf - F%*k edf ill never go back to them
scottish power coming back to me.
im thinking 1 year fix as price can only come down
anythoughts on this?
