They must have noticed the amount of orders coming in especially those ordering a few and then using the free postage code personally even if I had seen the free post code before I ordered I wouldnt of used it maybe for a big company like tesco or argos ect but its got to hurt a small company
order 5 books for 5p they have to supply the books then fork out more than the 1.99 post to post them to you.
That was probably what alerted them and made them change the offer
I only ordered 1 yesterday :T and got my confirmation straight awayMortgage overpayments 2008 (started August) £3000 -
I ordered only one too even though it was me that found the free delivery code. Sometimes it's better to not be too greedy or everyone may not benefit from the offer. No harm done as it's still there for people who want to order though.0

Thanks so much for this. DS2 is a "reluctant reader" so I figure this is a good way to get him excited about books for Christmas.

1 book+ delivery successfully ordered for 1p! Cheers OP!
As a marketing exercise I think it's worked a treat as otherwise we wouldn't be looking at their website at all. Whether it pans out for them is the responsibility of the genius behind a 1p personalised Santa book promotion with no minimum order and free postage code option.
Perhaps using a different email address is enough to be a different customer if you want to order 2? Before anyone flames me for being too cheeky, it's their offer on their website and if they didn't think it through then who's fault is that?0 -
have just phoned them and they have said the one book restriction was said on the prmotion email they sent out, so all orders placed will only recive the first book free

I have my confirmation email form last night showing the 2 books, total charge £6.02 (also got a couple of teddy clocks and some of the magnetic photo frames) - having read the above, can they take the additional amount for the 2nd book? (not over bothered as it would still work out at £4.50 a book which is still a good price, but would like to know if they can legally do it?)0
