Are there any stories regarding Lloyds?? Ive written to them but they sent a letter to my old address Ive just heard which doesnt surprise me, couldnt have made it any clearer to them! Not sure what it says yet obviously, but havent read much about them in this thread. I guess the figure is about £400 Im due back, and plan to fight it to the end.

Hi,
I requested £1300 of charges from Lloyds for the past 6 years. I received a letter today which was pretty unpersonal but offering £350 back. I asked for payment in full so am starting court action as soon as possible to recover the rest.
Good luck.

Oh well least its encouraging, a step in the right direction
I'll get arsey if they do and they can send me a breakdown of all charges since the account opened, and refund it in full, or they can save my time and theirs by just refunding me all charges.
You're right to demand the rest, they know they have no right to the money or they wouldnt be refunding anyone here. Good luck also and I'll update when I get the letter

I've been charged a fee from Barclays (Graduate account) for being £1500 in overdraft (I thought was at 0%), they had reduced it to £1000. I wrote a letter and got a full refund.
Also made a late payment (first and only time) late last year and Barclaycard gave me a full refund on my late payment charge. The trick is not be aggressive in your letter and explain how you have been with them for x number of years and they usually back down.0 -
I cant believe that I have a chance of claiming back the money that Barclays have charged me over the last 6 years.
Ive just had a quick look at my account and since Nov 05 I have been charged £300. Ive been searching around trying to find out the best way to get rid of my OD but hopefully if I can get back these charges I should be able to clear this account nicely.
My work involves issuing County Court Claims so I have no fears of issuing a Claim.
My only concern is that someone will pull the plug on this before I get any money back!0 -

Don't worry I have had £1300 out of the co-op last month and they did not close the account. They would be in for a hard time if they did, imagine the negative publicity you could generate for them closing an account because you had the audacity to sue for unlawful charges!

Just found this out today - so to the people who think that bank charges are quite ok then listen up:
My partner phoned Dell, to pay off her interest free agreement in full for her computer - the hassle of Dell is enough to make you even end a 0% agreement with them - too much hassle, you wouldn't believe it.
Anyway, she phoned up and paid with her debit card (ironically with funds clawed back from Abbey for punitive charges plus interest).
This was 3 weeks ago. Dell applied for the money today - she didn't have the £300 in her account today, so guess what? Yep, she'll be charged £35 for the privalidge of Abbey 'lending' her the money and going over her (very small) OD limit.
Now how is it possible to budget when firms do this?
The knights templar would cash a cheque sooner than 3 weeks and that was 800 years ago. Are we not in the 21st century?
Maybe not.
It's time this campaign was stepped up - if people are not given a chance to be able to budget properly, then things need to change.0 -
Dell are the worst. I ordered a PC, and gave up on it when it didnt arrive. 6 MONTHS LATER THE PC ARRIVED! The money for it was taken out 6 weeks after that - LOL0

Good job it was a grabbit bargain so I kept it anyway - LOL twice!0
