I would post it in Natwest. Start a thread and then it's all about you and your case.

Also, thanks for the offers of help.

Could you email bankfodder@bankactiongroup.co.uk with those offers - he is organising that sort of thing - whilst I am now concentrating more on the techie side.

Those offers of help really do mean a lot to me - thanks.

Oh I can see I have been told off already about posting on another thread. Thought you would have remember typing in big red bold letters and shouting at me. You also say that your forum is too busy for me to do that ALL THE TIME, I have hardly even posted on there before. :(

I'm very sorry and all that, I had helped someone out on that thread and just asked a quick question as to what method they used. I'll go sit in the corner now. :( Was only trying to get help. :(

Now, now, no need to get everyone to feel sorry for you ;)

You got the times the wrong way round: I posted here first. Then once I had gone through the whole forum (and it's growing daily) to find your posts, I saw you didn't have a thread of your own, which would explain why no-one had picked up on your questions. So I answered what I could and told you to start a proper thread for the rest. And the ALL THE TIME was not referring just to you, but to the umpteen people before and no doubt after you who do it too.
PS: Be thankful it was me and not Bankkfodder who got to you first: He is much nastier than me!!!! :rotfl:
    PPS: "she", not "he" ;)

Anyway, get off your big huff now, AOK now?

    Ah right sorry Bookworm!

I wasn't having a big huff btw just couldn't understand the wording of my warning. Like I said before water off a ducks back and all that. Had a very very bad day today with the school and police and council all driving me mad and then I see that on BAG just stressed me out a bit. But certainly wasn't having a big huff at anyone.

I think that BAG is a wonderful site and can't wait to see what Natwest has to say once I start. Thanks again for all your help and to dchurch24 I will do as you suggested. I hope that BAG gets more and more help to sort out naughty people like me! LOL! :p

Had a phone call off Smile today asking what the problem was, told them to read the letter I'd sent them, explained that the charges were punitive charges which she seemed quite happy about and that she'ld send an email to try and chase up the matter, question is,is this a stalling tactic or should I give them a few days to get back to me??

Abbey are refusing/ignoring letters requesting info re charges. I know I can inform the Commissioner which I iwll do but in the mean time charges are "falling" outside the 6 year rule due to Abbey dragging their feet. Can I issue a claim in the small claims court for 5k and state that this is an estimate due to the non-communication from Abbey. I have written to Abbey stating that if they continue to refuse to answer my letter requesting info then this is what I will do.

We have just done this with the Yorkshire Bank!

They refused to send us copy statements under the DPA and even refused to send a list of the breakdown of charges! We have reported them to the Information Commissioner and filed a claim to the Small Claims Court for a maximum of around £4,800 (just to be on the safer side of £5k!).

That'll teach 'em to mess about with us :rotfl:

  • Hi people, I was just wondering if you thought it would be possible for me to get back DD charges my bank has charged me. If so is there any information explaining what steps to take etc. If any one could give me details of what actions they took and letters they sent I would be really appriciative.
    Thanks.

Received £225 from Barclays today for charges from the last six years. Letter from their legal services said the usual - their T&Cs, legal argument would not stand up in court etc.
It was, they said, a goodwill gesture.

Many Thanks to all on this thread, esp ddchurch for all the advice he has written.

Also, and I know some of you won't like it, but thanks to Barclays CS for sorting it out in just over three weeks.

    Good luck all

    Hi all,

Just an update on my action against HSBC (their solicitors had agreed to pay but wanted a confidentiality agreement).

I wrote back rejecting the gagging clause (wish I'd taken dchurch's advice and asked for a £50k backhander) - they've written back this morning and have coughed the money, interest and court costs and have dropped the gagging clause. The letter re-iterates the 'our charges are fair and would stand up in court' routine.

I owe dchurch several pints.

Now it's time for me to tackle the other accounts.

    Cheers,
    Gotnobread.
