Another craft fayre to be held in Bangor Elim Church on 29th November from 11 am to 4 pm. Contact church if your are interested in exhibiting or I have a number of a contact if you want to private message me.

They held a very successful Wedding Fayre recently with over 1500 people going through the doors.

    Hope this helps.
Trying to claim flight delay compensation from British Airways :o
  • Thankyou dovobet - have pm'd you as I would be very interested in this one - look forward to hearing back from you!
    Yippee!
Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T
  • Folks, just wondered what the highest is that you've paid to hire a table at an event? I only ask, because one of the groups in my list of up and coming events above has just contacted us to say that the table will be £20 OR 20% of takings, whichever is the higher, plus a contribution to the ballot. I must say I nearly passed out at this, as the highest Ive ever paid is £25 for the table. And we are talking school fair here, not St Georges Market!! I am tempted to tell them we are no longer interested as I think this is a huge fee for something with no guarantee of success or income (some fairs we have done we have taken 10's of pounds, others we have had a blinder but you just dont know till the day), and 20% is a huge cut I feel PLUS a contribution to the ballot - anyone else think this is a bit high?? I must saynormally we are delighted to offer something towards a ballot or the school, but this is our own choice and it has never been insisted upon before!

i would tell them where to go supermum that seems crazy!!!
love you lots like jelly tots :o
  • I thought so too, so am glad you agree! The thing is, by saying 20%, is that 20% of profits or 20% of takings? Either way you would have to tell them how much you took in the day which to my mind is private and confidential to the business, but also, if it's 20% of the takings, on some of my items, that is all my profit gone as I only make 20% on some of them. Also, how would they really know how much you take - you could like (not that I would of course!!)
