Help me decide N95 vs N95 8gb..

Sorry if people have already said this (I'm off to bed so didn't have time to read all posts).
From what I've seen/understand, the N95 was released, it has SERIOUS issues with software and bugs, the N95 8GB has better specs and has ironed out most of the bugs that they'd failed to sort out pre launch of the N95. I'd say never take the N95, it was a test phone and it was poorly made, the 8GB however, although it has its faults, is a far safer, more reliable handset.
The N96 should be good, but I have known the N70, N78 and N95 to all be riddled with faults, I expect the N96 will be equally unreliable and require an updated relaunch.
N95 - save yourself!
N95 8GB - safe bet!
N96 - maybe wait a month and read some online reviews before risking getting stuck in an 18 month term for a faulty unreliable phone.0 -
I have seen the specs of the N85 and thought this was ideal. I like what the N95 and N96 offer however the N85 is smaller and does exactly what I want.
The problem I have had so far is that when going in to the 3 shop or speaking to the operator they cannot tell me if they are getting it or when. 2 of them actually told me they had never heard of it.
Anyone any news on the N85 on 3?0 -

Ohh more exciting toys to choose from!!
My decision.......
Got DH to get a "new to 3" pair of 6m contracts on the £15 M+M deal. Basic phones, but our 6120c phones are still OK (12 months old) and I cam give the shiny new toys of the N96 and N85 time to "settle in" and have their bugs ironed out.
I like the idea of a 6month contract TBH!0 -
I have an N82, other half wanted a 95 8Gb, but we decided that the 82 did what we wanted, and didn't have as many software glitches as the 95.
We got them on Orange, doing the Raccoon package for 2 years, so it's £20 a month each, something like 300 mins, 100 texts, free to landlines, and we have each other's phone as magic numbers so free calls between them. We also got the monthly unlimited internet, which is around £8 a month.
Have just had the 2nd months bill and the total including vat for the two phones was £57. The only extras paid for was 3 photo texts that I sent.
It also has bluetooth, so we send stuff between the phones that way, the camera (both still and video) is quite good.
We have 2gig micro sd cards in them, and they are storing a lot of music at the moment, with plenty of space to spare. 8gig cards are not that expensive if you shop around.0 -
I was all ready to order a N95 with 3 today and am now having 2nd thoughts after reading these posts.
I was just wondering if anyone had looked into the cheapest place to purchase the N95 8G handset on its own - and then add a sim?0 -
I've had an N95-1 (RM-159) since it first came out.
The first few firmware releases were poor, lots of bugs and Nokia IMO weren't quick enough to sort them out.
The GPS works fine now with the latest revision and I nearly always get a signal within about 15 seconds using A-GPS to help. Having the GPS receiver below the 0 key was a crazy decision though, you have to wonder what kind of design thoughts actually went into this phone.
Battery life is still a concern for the original N95 if you have any kind of radio enabled.
It's got alot of good features, but only recently have most of these worked well. (I still get issues with WiFi connections dropping and random soft resets of the phone, although much better than it was)
Basically, it's the best and worst phone I ever owned!!0
