Hi can some one please answer my query .... i joined Avon last wednesday and my SL told me I would get a list of territory and my account number the next day and that I had to order before 10pm on Monday to recieve delivery by friday 20th (thats whats written on my slips)
I have got nothing back from him, have texted him and he said that I can order on tuesday... Is this right? how long should it take to get an account number, im in the Kent area of UK, can i ring avon to get an account number and territory?
    thanks in advance

Your SL has to register your application on line to be able to give you an account number straight away, which is fine if they do it at your home or have brought their own laptop and done it.

Otherwise, like me probably go home, and key it that day, but as soon as it keyed, you will receive an email notification from Avon with your account number, telling you that you can put an order online and save it, but will not be able to submit until your account has been credit checked and approved.

Maybe you should give your SL a call to check what is happening with your account.

My ASM told me we are no longer allowed to allocate territory prior to the interview and the contract being signed. Once the contract is signed we can phone and ask ASM for territory. If they are free and able to look it up straight away, well that is fab, but usually a 24 hour turn around. Although all the ASM's I have dealt with, work long hours - from early morning to late at night, and have responded very quickly to territory requests.

I sign people out of my area, which is why I deal with ASM's other than my own. And yes you can sign people out of your area. I am doing this, because my area is saturated with avon reps and there is hardly any territory left.
  • Those of you who have recently been given 2009 filofaxes as rewards, I would be tempted to order the 2010 filofax which is currently in the brochure, replace the contents with the 2009 inserts you have been given, and return it for a refund!

i thought it was funny that they sent out a filofax for 2009, but its free and will come in handy (even if only for a month). do they not give out the bags now when you reah so many sales? i have a customer who has quie bad sight and because i usually have tom with me when i go to get brochures i dont like to go in, i could get someone to look after tom for half and hour while i go and help him but i dont want him to think im rude if i ask him if he needs any help. any suggestions?
  • Woohoo delivery day.

Going to be busy busy but this is usually the best bit of Avon (well for me anyway) lol

Did my first road with 26 houses, got 11 books back (6 said no more books please) and three orders totalling £120... was very very happy til I found that about £40 is on a low fixed discount, doh!!! Now very happy. That was the most promising road. Not a bad start tho! Have done another one with 'yuppie semi's' in so may get an order or two. The remaining territory is big detached houses so not expecting much, I belive they dont like avon.... Any suggestions for the front flier for these houses?

I am finding that I can't feel that I'm making money out of my close relatives... Thinking of giving them all 10% which should help them and still let me make a little bit as have to cover the startup £15 and 40 c2 brochures and bags etc.

I'm doing as much of my own xmas shopping as poss so will defo make the HOV, whoohooo! Not sure what will happen next time, thinking of missing c1 as I'm on c18 now so can hit MOV on that one.!

snipped from Elliebee's posting - 8 x 11 bag is a perfect size for the brochures
  • ...........and the actual brochure size is around 6" x 8 1/2" (although order forms are nearer 9 1/2" high, so stick out of the top of the brochure).

    Hi all!
Just looking for some advice. One of my new downlines really wants to do an AVon party but I have no experience in this and was wondering what advice to give her!
    Thanks

  • Hi all! Like some of you, I havn't been on here in ages :P This time of year is awful busy, isn't it? (not even updated my sig yet, oops!) Hello to all the newbies *waves* You know, I'm convinced that in a couple of years time there will be more reps than customers for them....

So things are going ok with me. Moving in a fortnight (into a trendsetter area, of all places :D) so being a bit lax with the canvassing, need to get my new postcode cause my new asm is waiting with baited breath for it, very nice of her to give me territory straight away so I can get off to a flying start :)
