A couple of quick questions to start the morning off! I've just been give my roads and have 117 house, I was given 30 books but is it possible to get a few more? How long do you leave your books with people I was thinking 2 days?

Hi Ivy and welcome.

You can try asking your ASM or SL, whoever signed you up, if there are more books available but at your first sign up they only have to give you 20, as this is all they get reimbursed for.

When I first started doing Avon, I used to leave my books for 2-3 days so I could maximise my book use and cover my territory.

ditto, i find leaving them for 2-3 days, and collecting them on a morning and re-delivering them out on the afternoon/early evening helps not having books hanging arround your house x 30 books should be plenty x

Ignore that woman, some people are just plain awkward and nothing you do will change that unfortunately! We all have them!!! I just cross them off my list as it isn't worth the hassle in my opinion. I tend though to just give a time slot the same as other people, so next week is friday morning 10-12am, with those that I know work 9-5pm getting their order delivered in the evening by oh. I let people contact me to arrange a different time/day if needed, but don't tend to tie myself down to an exact time as although I don't have kids, something always seems to crop up!

Personally I don't tend to put the advance 'your order will be delivered tomorrow at ....' but have just started doing Betterware and got to admit that they work that way and it worked a treat. Not only was everyone in with their money ready but got quite a few repeat orders too so may review how I 'do' Avon.

I've done this for both my first 2 campaigns and it's worked brilliantly. I put a note through the night before saying I'll deliver in the evening, your order comes to xx amount and here's my number if you want it delivered on a different day.
Then when I go round everyone has their money ready by the door or in hand and it's quick and easy!

I think you might need to go online to claim the bluetooth headset, I haven't got the leaflet they sent handy but it rings a bell.

i upset a customer yesterday :( i have a one year old son, so as anyone with a child knows..theyre unpredictable!
after submitting my order i put notes through or text my customers saying what day ill be delivering and asking them to let me know if they will be out and when is conveinient for them etc (i dont drive! all deliveries done in the dark with buggy and baby)

i had tried delivering around lunchtime a few days ago and down one street 4/5 customers were out and the 5th one said she would be in from 4pm with money (yesterday) so.. i put a note through everyone elses doors saying i would try again on thurs at 4 OR CALL ME TO ARRANGE A CONVEINIENT TIME. a few of them text me later and said they would be in and anytime after 4 was fine etc but one of them didnt contact me to say if she would be in or not

come 4pm my son decided to actually throw a tantrum and basically i didnt get there till 4.35. i pack my bag so i can unload as i go without having to rummage too much. as i walked up to one of the houses i noticed a car outside another customers house which i know is her daughters car. the lights were on and someone was in it. there was another car in front with lights and engine on etc. so i skipped the first house and headed towards that one to catch her before she left, however as i got close i kind of squinted and tried to see if they were looking etc so i could wave her down but both cars drove off...so i carried on walking to another house.

i knocked on that house incase her mum was in but noone was there so went home. a few hours later i had a phone call from the mother in a snotty voice saying 'you wrote on this card that you would deliver today and my daughter waited in for you and you didnt turn up' i apologised and explained about my son and my route etc. she kind of chuckled in a really fake way that said 'yeah whatever' i apologised and apologised - i hate being late! this is why i get so stressed because i know how annoying it is waiting in for someone and i always go oout of my way to be there on time but 9/10 times im the one waiting around in the cold cause the customer isnt there when they say they will be!

in the end she came to me at about 7pm and i asked her in while i sorted her change etc but she stood at the door with her arms crossed. i apologised again and told her that the perfume she ordered came with a free clutch purse which she hadnt ordered so i had ordered it for her and hopefully that would be some kind of concilation(sp) she did her fake laugh and walked off!

im so angry with myself! this lady hadnt ever ordered before and now i dont think she will ever trust me to order again! im worried about asking her to leave her book out incase she throws it at me lol but any other customer knows how reliable i am. arrrggghh. i almost wrote a little note for the daughter and put it through to say how sorry i was for being late but at the same time i think FOR GODS SAKE! IT WAS HALF AN HOUR! and they didnt make any effort to let me know what was going on!

ooohhhhhhhh what shall i do??? it actually kept me awake last night. i hate it when ive !!!!ed someone off...

breathe..wow! turned into a bit of a rant there didnt it lol. soz for taking up most of this page

dont worry about it shes obviously just that kind of person! there are a lot of a@$% holes out there even if you was on time shed prob stil moan in fact if there was nothing to moan about she would prob moan that there was nothing to moan about
