This might be a really stupid question but the customer mobile phone offer in C18 doesnt actually have a mobile phone with it does it? I think I read it wrong and put on my flyers that it did. Looks like I will have to type something out to apologise for mistake and go round my customers tomorrow.
Hi Liamsmum, it's not a stupid question at all.
No, the customer offer is for sim cards and bluetooth ear piece. Our offer is for mobile phone.0 -
Thanks for that aureol212.
I was so proud of myself this campaign designing a christmas flyer with santa etc on it, only to realise that part of the information on them is wrong. Only put out brochures yesterday so will have to go and post another flyer through everyones letterboxes tomorrow explaining how stupid I am....
At least I realised now and not when the order came home and all my customers expecting a mobile phone and they didnt get one. That would be really bad.
Taking the next few campaigns off as I feel C1 too close to Xmas, will do C2 for customers wanting to spend their £5 vouchers, and prob miss out C3. Just as well really if I cant read an offer correctly - must have xmas brain burnout trying to shop online for pressies.:rotfl:0 -
ach don't worry about it liamsmum. I have done crazy things when ordering for customers and have had to tell small white lies to get around it, and made it up to them by offering a small free gift.0

i upset a customer yesterday
i have a one year old son, so as anyone with a child knows..theyre unpredictable!
after submitting my order i put notes through or text my customers saying what day ill be delivering and asking them to let me know if they will be out and when is conveinient for them etc (i dont drive! all deliveries done in the dark with buggy and baby)
i had tried delivering around lunchtime a few days ago and down one street 4/5 customers were out and the 5th one said she would be in from 4pm with money (yesterday) so.. i put a note through everyone elses doors saying i would try again on thurs at 4 OR CALL ME TO ARRANGE A CONVEINIENT TIME. a few of them text me later and said they would be in and anytime after 4 was fine etc but one of them didnt contact me to say if she would be in or not
come 4pm my son decided to actually throw a tantrum and basically i didnt get there till 4.35. i pack my bag so i can unload as i go without having to rummage too much. as i walked up to one of the houses i noticed a car outside another customers house which i know is her daughters car. the lights were on and someone was in it. there was another car in front with lights and engine on etc. so i skipped the first house and headed towards that one to catch her before she left, however as i got close i kind of squinted and tried to see if they were looking etc so i could wave her down but both cars drove off...so i carried on walking to another house.
i knocked on that house incase her mum was in but noone was there so went home. a few hours later i had a phone call from the mother in a snotty voice saying 'you wrote on this card that you would deliver today and my daughter waited in for you and you didnt turn up' i apologised and explained about my son and my route etc. she kind of chuckled in a really fake way that said 'yeah whatever' i apologised and apologised - i hate being late! this is why i get so stressed because i know how annoying it is waiting in for someone and i always go oout of my way to be there on time but 9/10 times im the one waiting around in the cold cause the customer isnt there when they say they will be!
in the end she came to me at about 7pm and i asked her in while i sorted her change etc but she stood at the door with her arms crossed. i apologised again and told her that the perfume she ordered came with a free clutch purse which she hadnt ordered so i had ordered it for her and hopefully that would be some kind of concilation(sp) she did her fake laugh and walked off!
im so angry with myself! this lady hadnt ever ordered before and now i dont think she will ever trust me to order again! im worried about asking her to leave her book out incase she throws it at me lol but any other customer knows how reliable i am. arrrggghh. i almost wrote a little note for the daughter and put it through to say how sorry i was for being late but at the same time i think FOR GODS SAKE! IT WAS HALF AN HOUR! and they didnt make any effort to let me know what was going on!
ooohhhhhhhh what shall i do??? it actually kept me awake last night. i hate it when ive !!!!ed someone off...
breathe..wow! turned into a bit of a rant there didnt it lol. soz for taking up most of this pagecamp 12=£443 13=£425 14=£277 15=£474 16=£492 17=£438 18=£437 1=£319 2=£153:o 3=£220 :jSALES LEADER:j4=£202 5=£191 6=£167 7=£193 8=£216 9=£211

Phia, deep breath! count to 10.
remember at the end of the day,you are a mother first, then a working mum second.
This lady has a daughter of her own, so was her daughter perfect at the same age? She can't remember what it is like to have a little one?
You did your best and you apologised. Don't let things like this keep you awake at night, this is how people become stressed.
You provided excellent customer service, you apologised. Done deal. Close that chapter and start a new one, all fresh, smiley and had sleep!0 -
Phia, as aureol says, you're a mum first and an Avon rep second..... life happens. Don't be too hard on yourself.
Personally I don't tend to put the advance 'your order will be delivered tomorrow at ....' but have just started doing Betterware and got to admit that they work that way and it worked a treat. Not only was everyone in with their money ready but got quite a few repeat orders too so may review how I 'do' Avon. If you do put the advance notice in, why not put 'late morning' or 'early/mid/late afternoon' instead of a fixed time period - will give you a bit of leeway?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Awww! Phia - don't beat yourself up about it. We've all had the occasional customer take umbrage about something - as they say 'you can't please all the people all the time'
I usually give a 1 or 2 hour slot for delivery, ie between 10 & 12 or between 1 & 2. It works well for me.'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum
