ive found it was just best to canvas the whole street. that way they dont have a chance to say no , (if they were busy some just say no automatically) yet, if they have a book to look through at their leisure they are more likely to order x dont give them the opportunity to say no!!!2015.......I aim to have a tidy de cluttered house by Xmas

My street is my territory but they are friends as she just lives next door so she would still be able to do it just with people she is friends with though. Not 100% sure but dont really want to start an Avon war with her dont think its worth it for 1 customer but if she tries any more will have to speak to my asm. she is coming tonight so will mention it anyway so she is aware of the situation.New Avon Rep

Thanks for the replies I've written a little note to go in the brochures. Do you think this is ok:
Hi,
My name is Sarah and I am your new Avon Representative for this area.
Please take a moment to have a look through this brochure.
If you would like to opt out of receiving future brochures then please tick this box (little box here!)
To make sure I do not disturb you please leave your brochure outside your front door with or without on order on (state day of week)
Please remember that Avon does not provide me with these brochures for free, as I have to pay to them I would be very grateful if you could leave them outside.
As an introduction from myself, and as a Christmas offer, I would like to invite all customers who place an order before Christmas into a prize draw to win an exciting Avon gift worth at least £15.
Thank you for your time and I hope you enjoy this Avon brochure. If you have any questions you can email me at (insert email address):)Avon Newbie:)Camp 18 - £250, Camp 1 - £265, Camp 2 - £46, Camp 3 - £166Soon to be Sales Leader0 -
is the shower radio the pink duck?
No, it's a silver one with a square mirror front, which is actually the volume control. Sounds OK (and got to admit it IS nice to have a radio in the bathroom) but wouldn't risk attaching it near the shower head - I put ours on the vertical tiles on the window bottom and it fell off within half an hour or so!
PS: Sorry for the delay in replying; just started doing Betterware too (thought if I was 'walking the streets' with Avon then I might as well do both). They provide everything free but am feeling a bit like a workhorse at the mo.....Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Hi All, Well since I was given new territory this campaign. I hasn't been going so well. Last campaign I was given a road that was already assigned to someone else. She hadn't ever canvassed. obviously I did straight away and had 10 orders and a really camp. I was made to give the road and customers back, even though I had put in all of the hard work
When I went back to deliver orders to that road the other rep had already given the next book so I couldn't even keep any as F&F. Now this camp i'm struggling a bit. I've only got half the value of orders that I had last time
My new territory is pretty rubbish to be honest. I have asked for an extra road but my SL doesn't like to get back to me until I chase her! I'm hoping I can have a new road added. on the up side 2 customers on my new territory have placed rather high orders 1 for £46 and one for £52. As I run a spend £20 for free gift offer I think I will give them both 2 gifts to keep them with me.
I put all of my books out last night in one last dash before I place my order on Friday. I have to go back to one customer tonight though as they ordered the spectracolour lip gloss that AVON have recently emailed about!
I also aquired a new customer by delivering one order and the lady said that her daughters rep hadn't returned for her book and could I place her order and take her on as a customer! 'Of course I can, I would be happy to!'
Don't understand - who 'made you give your 10 orders back'?
Have had two totally differing experiences re. meeting up with reps doing the same area:
1. Was 'up for a fight', having been given territory that I'd canvassed a couple of weeks before. Tried the 'am new on the block' tactic but she was having none of it. Didn't want to cause any hassle so I backed off but insisted on keeping a customer (who hasn't ordered anything since - doh!) that I'd given a lot of samples to.
2. Got a phone call one evening from a new rep, who'd been told by one of the houses on her given territory that I was already looking after them. She's really nice and we've exchanged details so we can help support each other. (She actually picked up one of my books this week in error but dropped it off for me - with a nice order - and, equally, I came across one of her books today so dropped it off at her house for her.)
Seems to me that all Avon ladies should be supporting each other - not just battling over territory. If not, what happens when you want to go on holiday? Doesn't it make sense for us to pair up so someone can keep our customers happy?Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Well done ivy and edaniels - do think a note on the front of the book tends to help draw attention. Short and punchy is better in my mind (tend to think people are generally lazy and get bored with reading).
Do wonder how agents are managing with the idea of having a raffle? Isn't it open to people accusing you of abuse/favouritism? I tend to stick to giving a gift for referrals to a new customer and I give my highest order a gift. I don't publicise the latter, preferring to surprise people - sometimes I do have two or three 'highest orders in this campaign'....Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)
