Couple of questions, if I may?
Has anyone else noticed the gap between brochures has shortened in 1-4. I used to have an Avon free week, but now I'm having to plan to give out all my books in one hit as they seem very close.
Also my SL emailed a garbled message about the commission rates changing. Something about there being a lower order value so we can earn commission easier. Hmmm I have my misgivings about it, anyone know anything about that one?0 -

Just to clarify the situation with the shorter campaigns, it happens every year during January/February. Instead of the usual 3 weeks, the gap is 2 weeks, but there is a lower MOV and HOV to compensate.
Don't be too put off by this - you may well be surprised how well you do during that time, as there is a lot of sale stuff in the brochures and many people will use it to stock up'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

ive been given a c2 new year sale book to hand out theres pure good stuff in there well cheap, specialy the kids shampoos 70p!!!!!!!!!!Bingo Mad!!!!!!!!:beer:0 -
What do you all plan to do about the C1 'Sale' book. Personally, I won't be giving it out as it's nearly all branded stuff which is fixed discount, so not worth selling
A couple of friends of mine (also reps), who I meet at the monthly Avon meetings, held a Party/Bazaar in a local hall yesterday evening. I popped in for a while and it seemed to be going really well. They had stalls round the edge of the hall with products on - one for perfumes, one for gifts etc, etc., and tables in the middle where people were taking orders. They also had a student beautician doing manicures, a lucky dip, raffle etc. I hope they made lots of money as it must have been such hard work getting it all organised.'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Have had two totally differing experiences re. meeting up with reps doing the same area:
1. Was 'up for a fight', having been given territory that I'd canvassed a couple of weeks before. Tried the 'am new on the block' tactic but she was having none of it. Didn't want to cause any hassle so I backed off but insisted on keeping a customer (who hasn't ordered anything since - doh!) that I'd given a lot of samples to.
2. Got a phone call one evening from a new rep, who'd been told by one of the houses on her given territory that I was already looking after them. She's really nice and we've exchanged details so we can help support each other. (She actually picked up one of my books this week in error but dropped it off for me - with a nice order - and, equally, I came across one of her books today so dropped it off at her house for her.)
Seems to me that all Avon ladies should be supporting each other - not just battling over territory. If not, what happens when you want to go on holiday? Doesn't it make sense for us to pair up so someone can keep our customers happy?
we were very civil about it, The other rep text me and informed me that I was dropping on her road as she had found 2 of my books, so I got straight on to asm to get the problem sorted. She gave the books back to me and we had a little chat about it.
The other rep then said i could keep the customers this time but she will be giving them the next book! The next book was already with them before i had a chance to give out the orders and ask the customers if they were happy with me etc, as she had never canvassed they didn't even know the other rep. So I lost them all!
But never mind, i'm down on sales this time but hopefully it'll pick up in C18 :rolleyes:C14 £129, C15 £126 , C16 £442:T, C17 £290, C18 £215, C1 £1200
