The neighbour is elderly and don't want to pester her to wait in all day.

Can you add a new delivery address or something and get them to delivery to a totally different address for that order? As a relative can take it in who lives a few miles away.

Not 100% sure but seem to recall when you place your order it gives you the option to change the delivery address. Noooo ideas if you can amend once you've submitted your order to Avon though.

Does anyone on here submit their orders by post and, if so, how are you coping with the postal strike(s)?

I didn't know you could submit by post, thought it was over the phone or online? Don't think I would trust the post when the strike wasn't on, but saying that last week I posted my Dad's birthday card on the strike day and he got it the next day from Leeds to London!
BTW MarsdenCuckoo, lovely part of the world you live in!

my AM has just emailed me she told me that noone is doing my round and that she is going to drop me some brochures off tomorrow to deliver to see if i can get an order in by wednesday

Well done lolly1981, I'd get those books out to as many people as you can tomorrow, collect Sun or Mon and then put a few more out, also friends and family plus your cats, bags etc count to MOV/HOV

I do online, of course, but was asking for info for another agent I met recently. They mentioned they only ever submitted by post but had been given a special phone no. to ring..... Couldn't begin to imagine giving my order over the phone! :eek: Takes me days to reshuffle things once I've inputted everything....

I did suggest she could put her order in over the Net at the library but didn't go down well....

Some people are set in their ways. I couldn't imagine doing it over the phone, no offence but I can barely understand them, and it would take me forever, my mobile bill would be horrendous! Don't have a landline.
Yes Marsden is rather cold and wet a lot of the time, not been there for years but still beautiful, sitting at the bottom of the Penines, all that greenery.
Am off to Huddersfield this weekend, my 3rd home (From London, live in Leeds but all my mates are in Huddersfield!)

Yes, good luck, lolly. Maybe if you get your books out tomorrow, collect Sunday, you could then re-issue the same day and collect Tuesday. Not perfect but will double up your chances. Also, if you have time (and the inclination) to ask rather than just drop off the catalogues then you're more likely to get orders rather than just 'thanks but no thanks'....

Another tip - I found that once you find someone who 'loves' Avon, they're quite likely to be able to give you a pointer to a friend/neighbour, who also may be interested. Let them know you're happy to give them a little gift for any referrals that result in orders and hopefully your customer base will grow quickly.
