Hello ladies. Just want to say i love this forum and have spent past week reading through most of the posts! Youre all such an inspiration! I've been doing Avon for couple months now but only for friends/family. Now i've got the hang of it I'm thinking of canvassing some roads my sl has allocated me but am a bit scared! Was wondering if anyone had any advice on getting new customers as canvassed my road last week and didn;t get one order :-( Was also looking for any tips to boost money maker offers as ordered them last couple times and ended up returning them. Sorry to ramble on and look forward to hearing some of your ideas. Thanks0

Hi,
The first time I canvassed my road I didn't get any orders either only my next door neighbour..... I was really upset and thought how strange..... anyway two campaigns later I decided to do it again...... and got six orders....I only found out when I delivered that two previous Avon reps had let them down by taking orders and never delivering the goods so maybe it is a similar story with your street....all they wanted was someone reliable.Sue :j0 -
A bit off topic, but when you're typing numbers in Excel, if you change the cell format to 'text' it will just accept whatever you type in and not chop off the O's (no, O's for the gate.........sorry, had a Ronnie B moment there :-D ).
Just highlight the column you want to change and right click>format cells>number tab>text.
Alternatively, format cells>custom>type 00000 in the editable box just above the list of preset custom formats. This will format the product number column to 5 digits and will allow any leading zeros
I sold my first Absynthe perfume yesterday. It has proved that the best way to see fragrance is to have a bottle with you that customers can have a squirt of. I never sold any of the In Bloom despite handing out 50 or so samples, but one squirt of the Absynthe and it was sold lol
I'm really liking the African Shea Butter products. One of my friends is a beautician and uses it on her customers, who then order from me. The gift set in C17 is good value too. 3 products and a free bag for £6.
What is everyone selling the most of at the moment? My most popular product is the ugg style slippers - they are £1 cheaper than the ones in Asda too0 -
I am only on my second campaign Happygirl, but faves so far have been the sparkle lash and line, and the curvacious mascara....have also found that the free gift offers in c16 are popular as well as the bubble baths..
Has anyone tried the 'Toning flip flops' they seem pretty cheap in comparison to the 'Fit Flops' which are I believe the originals and are supposed to work really well....was wondering whether it was worth getting the avon ones...Starting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000 -

snipped... :eek:compared to Boots fit flop an nike fit flops these are a bargain!
I bought a pair, wore them all summer, wore them out and they really worked. :j I lost weight on my thighs, found my calves again, and both My Fiance and a friend noticed the weight loss.
I can't recommend them highly enough.0 -
I got the fit flops and found them so uncomfortable at first - should have got the larger size, but after persevering with them and many blisters/cuts later they are so comfy now. Don't wear them often enough to notice. aurerol - can you walk miles in them at a time without wearing them out? My longest walk is 1.5 miles to train station and I have worn out many a pair of cheap shoes/trainers.0

Hi Lyndsey
I really can't answer your question, because I wore my flip flops all summer, 3 months, everywhere! to the shops, delivering avon books, collecting Avon books, going out, to the park... anywhere and everywhere.
After 3 months, they were falling apart, but I would expect that because the amount of wear I got out of them!
I know I recommended them to a friend who was going on a walking holiday and she bought a pair. She loved them, she said she wore them whenever there was long walking involved and they were so comfortable and supported her feet.
They are great for me as I have a weak ankle, I fractured it, and have a metal plate still in my ankle, and the cushioning means I am not putting so much pressure on it.0 -
Thanks for the comments on the flip flops, not really the time of year now for them I suppose, but i could wear them round the house to get used to them...als my friend broke her ankle at the beginning of the year and has a metal plate in too aureol212 so If I get them it might encourage her to get a pair too
dancingbutterfly, my c16 order isn't due in till tomorrow and I will get it delivered next Monday so I don't know about the mobile offer, think you must be on an early mailplan, hopefully there will be someone on here soon that can help...
One of my neighbours has said yesterday she has an order for me so am hoping to get that today and my sister in law said she would order, am really pleased so far with this campaign..(16) hope you are all doing well...Starting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000 -
69chick, they were so comfortable and made walking so much easier, and as your friend will know, the extra pressure when walking on your ankle doesn't help. These are fab. One of my customers bought a pair 2 months ago and when I went to deliver her order, she was wearing them around the house.
I heard about the mobile offer, but think dancingbutterfly is on an early mailplan, as I am on C17 and don't have it. I have to go out now but will look on the SL's forums, as I read there something about it.0
