Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

I'm just entering up my order online - a few tips for all the Newbies:
If your customer has ordered more than one of an item, ring round the figure in pencil - it's so easy to miss the fact that you should be ordering 2 (or more). Done it myself on several occasions
Enter one order, then do 'view descriptions'. If the descriptions tally, then I save the order. It's infuriating if you have spent ages entering all your orders only to have the website or your browser crash . By saving as you go along, it means that you only lose one order if the worst happens!
As I check the descriptions, I make a small pencil tick (or two ticks if I've ordered 2) in the left hand margin. I tick the right hand side when I'm packing the order. I also tick the bottom right hand corner of the order to show I've entered it. I use pencil because it doesn't transfer through to the under copy which goes to the customer.
Hope that helps.'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Hi guys,
seems to be a running thing with reps crossing paths lol...
i was told theres no rep in the area where i live so could canvass were i wanted. deliverd 45 brochures to one rd and when i went to collect, one lady had 2 asking if i was ****** (the other rep) i explaine dno, i was new, and she said, oh please still deliver...?!?!?
and another lady said, oh we do have a rep round here but she may only do some houses....
well i went ahead collecting the rest of my brochures and most said, not this time but plse post the next one,.... and i got 2 orders aswell....
ive emailed my asm to double check on the situation but im thinking maybe the rep has a few regulars but hasnt canvassed.. and ive been the one going out in the rain door to door so surely im ok to keep customers i get....
its a tough one becaus eid never want to step on anybodys territory....
oh and my first campaign... pretty bad, only got 4ordersnot up to my mov but i guess have to keep trying! :P
xxx
ps, could you guys give me a rough idea how many houses you deliver brochures to on average poer campaign...?

it's a difficult one, kimbobimbo. With the rep who was on my territory, I told her I was happy for her to keep her customers as she had canvassed and got them and it wouldn't be fair for me to waltz in and say thank you very much.
But that is me, I don't know if all reps would think the same way.0 -

My area in total comprises around 260 houses, but I do a regular brochure drop of around 120 (taking into account people who have asked not to have a book, plus top floor flats which I steer clear of due to the sheer number of stairs!). I also do a few 'Family and Friends' including recommendations from other customers.
I usually get around 25-30 orders per campaign, and my total is in the £350 - £450 range.
Having said that, it really depends on your area, so you shouldn't be too disappointed if you don't reach those figures..........but who knows, you might do even better'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Wow you did really well in C10 + 11!
Haha, thanksI don't know what happened to those good orders. I remember one of the two was mainly down to my mum spending £80 on presents *shrug* I'm hoping she goes crazy for christmas, but unfortunately we don't have any relatives with wee ones and she usually gives the older ones money/vouchers

hi all,
im wondering if anyone can help me. I had a customer let me down- ie she no longer wanted the products as couldnt afford them so she wants me to send the stuff back- no problem there. So i have requested credit from avon, and parcelled the stuff up waiting for delivery man to collect when he comes next time. I requested the credits yesterday -at the moment my account balance shows at 148 and i have 89.97 worth of credit so should leave my balance at 58.03- when will this show on my account? Many thanks! Now im debt free i want to be fat free too!0 -

Yesterday I entered a credit online (only for £2.68) I then took this off my total balance and paid the remaining amount on my debit card...Today my balance shows as zero so it all went through fine yesterday....if you have put the credits through just minus them off your total and pay whatever you are left with ie. £58.03..then by the next day it should show as clear....Hope that helps xStarting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000 -
