My friend has been doing Avon for a few campaigns and was going to be a SL but life has changed for her and she won't be doing this after all. She had lined up a few people who wanted to become reps and is happy to send them in my direction if I wanted to be a SL. The only thing is I really don't know that much about it so was hoping that one of the SL's here could help out. I don't drive either so I would like to know if this is a requirement for the job

    Thanks

Hi - no driving isn't a requirement, but if you have your own transport it does make things a lot easier - as you need to take books etc with you to the sign-ups. If you have good public transport then you should be fine - but please bear in mind that some people can be really keen, but then when you turn up the appointment they aren't in as they have changed their mind but not wanted to say! So if you have to wait for another bus....whereas in a car at least you can get straight home again lol!

I enjoy being a SL, progress is slow for me with working full-time but I am slowly plodding along. If you already have people lined up who want to join then it could be well worth giving it a go, you do need to have 5 reps placing orders to earn commission from their sales, but in your first few campaigns there are bonuses you can earn. £30 for having 3 reps placing order in your first 2 camps as a SL, and then another £50 for having 5 reps placing order in your first 3 camps a SL. You do need to buy a "business pack" which is £25 which has your agreement in to sign to accept being a sl, but if you don't sign it you can send it back for a refund if you change your mind. If you do become a sl or are seriously considering it, I'd suggest registering on flissy.com it is free for a 2 week trial and after that it's £12 for a year. I find it really useful, not only because you can buy "leads" from their, which is how I am building my team, but also there are always other SL on who can answer your questions & give you advice, which I find invaluable as my asm is no help to me whatsoever!:p
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

New Representative's bag up for grabs!
I have a spare new Reps Bag (the one that costs £10) but with no samples I'm afraid available.

Will sell and post for £5. Payment by paypal.

    PM me if interested.

    Thanks, Nicola.

OMG just been to collect some more books and there was a maggot in one of the bags!! Worst bit is I don't know which house it came from. eeeewwww

I often find tiny maggots/baby slugs in my plastic book bags. They must sneak in whilst the book is left outside as Ive never found one in a book that has not been left outside. Cobwebs and dead woodlice are also common lol.

This happened to me 2 camps ago. Worst of all it was the Amazon shower gel (large one!) so all the makeup etc smelt like a man lol. It also ruined 2 packs of paper bags, all my carrier bags were too sticky to clean up, calling cards were ruined and my calling book. I couldnt find them on the replacements so phoned up. What they do is re-fund you but replacement is not available so you have to reorder them. They should reorder them for you and send them out straight away. I wasnt in a hurry so waited until my next order. Then take great delight in sending a box full of smelly sticky mess back to Avon! lol
  • Hello,

I am an avon representative, :-) just signed up today, well my mom did but i will be doing all the work.

    Anyway, just a little confused-

The sales leader gave me one pack of C13 and two of C14.
I have given the C13's out to the houses near me, and the C14's to the rest of the road. I am collecting them back on wednesday, and then what??

Do i give the C13's to the people who i gave the C14's to, but then that might overload them a bit. I could always wait a bit but the C13's order deadline is next week.

Shall i just give the c13's to another road?

Melvis, can an ASM do that? Just reassign territory without telling you? And where do they get a list of customers who are ordering on your territory from? We don't give them that info.
