OMG that is ridiculous! To say you don't need certain things just cos avon doesn't sell them!!!! How stupid are they!!!! I really hope everything works out ok for you, to have to do so much paperwork each camp is ridiculous, I know it's to protect from people claiming things falsely, but to be that picky over you buying bags! !!!!!!!!! You could have chosen not to tell them about avon, and then you really would be claiming benefits falsely, to be put through such a lot of hassle for being honest - you can see why people don't bother disclosing certain information!!!

  • Hello,

Applied to become an avon representative a while back and was contacted by a ____ erm forgot what there called. Anyway, i replied to the dude and she is meeting me to sign me up on Monday.

    The problem:
    I am only 17.
Do you have to show some sort of ID to show that your 18?
Will i get away with it?

I thought i would get away with it because a close friend of mine who lives near to me and whom is of the same age is a representative.

You cannot join if you are below 18! They will need to see 2 forms of id, drivers licence, passport, birth certificate, bill etc etc - obviously most things will have your age on - or because of your age you wouldn't have certain things (like an electric bill etc) and you would need to lie about your age as they need your date of birth - which could seriously get the person who signs you up into trouble!

I'd suggest you ask a parent/older relative/friend to sign up, but you effectively do all the work. If you are present when they sign-up and at any subsequent meetings then you would know everything you need to know rather than relying on them to pass the info on x

My ASM has reps who are under 18

She has giveaways for referring friends etc and always says bottles of wine as gift but reps under 18 will get something else  xx

She would probably have signed up a "figure head" (ie an older person!) but the under 18 has done the actual work...though some will have signed under 18's as they have a lot of targets to meet and they have gotten desperate - I believe they need to effectively sign up a person a day, which obviously isn't that easy!

i signed up before my 18th birthday but had to put it in my mothers name as they dont accept under that age, my step sons girlfriend is just 17 and signed up 2 campaigns ago and also had to put it in her mothers name , under 18 can do avon but has to be in someone whos 18 name but they do put it on there own notes who does avon not whos name is registered
  • My friend has been doing Avon for a few campaigns and was going to be a SL but life has changed for her and she won't be doing this after all. She had lined up a few people who wanted to become reps and is happy to send them in my direction if I wanted to be a SL. The only thing is I really don't know that much about it so was hoping that one of the SL's here could help out. I don't drive either so I would like to know if this is a requirement for the job

    Thanks
  • OMG just been to collect some more books and there was a maggot in one of the bags!! Worst bit is I don't know which house it came from. eeeewwww
