I'm thinking about getting the new rep's bag with the samples in that's £10. Does anyone know what's actually in it and whether it's worth getting?0

You get a full size perfume (was U by Ungaro but not sure if it still is?) but it's usually a £20ish bottle of perfume, some samples but not lots and some medium paper bags and a pack of order forms. It's a bargain if you ask me and I always use mine when delivering books, it fits about 25 in at a time xxSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -

The bag is really good quality, I use mine when delivering orders as I can keep my purse in it along with "I called" letters for those people that aren't in lol!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

The blurb on my flyer says 'New representatives can buy this bag full of samples and products...' so I didn't know if that meant you get something full sized. Looking at Lozza's post obviously not which is a shame cos I love the Ungaro perfume0

Yeah you used to get the perfume & a lipgloss (but not as many samples)....they are in the process of changing the leaflets but us SL will have a lot of packs with the "old" ones in - and it took ages before avon even told us of the changes so many people have unhappy reps! I'm just taking the leaflets out and not telling any of my new reps about it as it is very misleading!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

I ordered the new reps kit, and got everything listed above. It is good value if you like lots of samples (as I do), and the bag is good quality too. My OH does all my territory as I am in too much pain at mo, and he won't use the Avon bag, but I will use it for college lol
I submitted my C13 order last night - eek! £220 order, of which £101 is customer orders! Erm....i might have got carried away lol, but I can't wait until Thursday when it will all be delivered. I ordered the vanity bag plus the samples pack for £15 (will use the vanity bag to keep my 'kit' in. i ordered the Spectracolour lippy/mascara, 2 necklaces and the Hello Kitty bracelet which will match the Playboy watch, the pj's and snug slippers in HT15, the new curvalicious mascara, Christian Lacroix rouge edp for me plus the goody bag which I'll use as kit, and a few items from clearance. OH wanted the coin counter and I bought him the foto frame from HT15 for his birthday next week. Just need to find a decent pic of us and record a message for him now. I also ordered the In Bloom money maker and will use them for parties I think. I'm not too keen on the perfume but I adore the colour of the bag, and the flowers on it are similar to the ones on my wedding dress!
Plus now my first 2 orders were >£148, I should be receiving a shed load of samples too. I absolutely love samples! I like trying the perfumes and using a packet of moisturiser after my bath. Am I alone in this weirdness? :ROTFL:0 -
Did you order the starter pack or just a rep bag? xxAvon Rep since June 09

I am sure you know what you are doing so I don't want to patronise, just wanted to check that you have worked it all out correctly as I would hate for you to be missing out..............Therefore by properly accounting for every one of your costs you can easily take £100+ a campaign in commission without them reducing your income support!.
Hi Kat,
Ta hun, it is profit not turnover but not as complex as that as i dont pay rent or mortgage and i dont drive... however i dont include my gas/electric... i knew i could do it for tax but have never counted it as an expense as i didnt think it would be allowed since i also use my "office" as a [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] storage room/laundry room with my tumble drier and a wardobe etc in it... its not exclusively an office so i didnt think i could claim for it??
I also didnt claim it for income support purposes as i had a MASSIVE argument with income support "desicion maker" over my expenses!!!! I submitted my accounts and had to resubmit them giving a breakdown of my expenses as they firstly wanted to go just off my avon invoice vs customer order forms and asked me to to send copies of ALL order forms with customers personal details removed! and my avon invoices. But i refused to do that.
I had to argue till i was blue in the face that i needed things for the business i couldnt get directly from avon.... so the expenses needed to be taken into account..... they argued i couldnt have printer ink, the brochure bags or even my vistaprint business cards or advertising postcards as expenses as they are obviously not "essentials" to run the business as avon dont provide them!! So i ended up having to explain every little thing to them on the phone as to why i needed each item on my expenses list!!! In the end theyve allowed some of them so far i assume as otherwise id have lost more off my current income support amount...
Basically for IS... my accounts are a spreadsheet based on the equation: "Total income from order forms minus avon invoice amount minus other expenses = total profit/earnings." I then have to list the "other" expenses undneath so they know im not fiddling anything
I cant wait to get a little part time job of even 4 hours that gives me a steady enough income each month to cover my £75 council tax bill... then i wont need to claim IS or Council Tax benefit (because if im not on IS then the council require me to submit detailed accounts AND all bank statements every 3 months to qualify for council tax benefit )... I could then up my hours to enough to claim WTC and there wont be all the faffing and i can keep all my hard earned commission!!
(bitter twisted rant here - if my ex hadnt got himself sacked after walking out on me and so stopped paying matinence then it wouldnt be a problem for me to sign off onto WTC and just do a few more hours avon because his matinence would cover the council tax so even though i would be entitled to council tax benefit i wouldnt NEED to claim it... therefore could avoid all the hassle of submitting my accounts or my bank statements to anyone every couple of months making me feel like a total scumbag and feeling like im begging and hoping for them to look favourably on the pittance me and my daughter are living on!)
