Kat, thanks for the offer. We can't order from the C14s though can we? It's difficult cuz it's first time round and trying to sort out how to split the campaigns to different streets etc. Feel like my life has been taken over by Avon at the mo! But at least I know it'll get easier once I know what I'm doing.

It depends what campaign you are on? If you are on c15 then you can back order to c14, if you are c16 then no you won't be able to use c14, but I do have c16's available. If you are on c15 let me know, you can have my c14s.

  • Hi ladies
I am planning on ordering the starter pack, bag and samples thingie in my first order. Can someone please let me know what I am likely to get in it? I know it will vary but an idea would be good?
    Thanks!

Aargh Lucy would you believe how bad this timing is? My ASM gave me a load last week and I gave them all out to my reps :wall:

Ask your ASM or upliner, they may have some squirrelled away - I know I've started to stash order forms, calling books, calling cards etc, ring sizers are virtually the only thing I don't have. Mikiki, like anything else in life the piddletaker minority spoil it for the rest of us - I can just imagine people ordering hundreds of sheets just because they're free.

Lynsey, that's a pity, I have about 60 C15s spare (due to the fact my ASM and I scrounged all the surplus off local ASMs who have earlier mailplans than us - then, sods law, all our appointments postponed into C16) and am at the point that newbies are getting some C15s as well as 16s just to get them through their territory quicker! Well, the offer's there anyway, they're a freebie if that helps.

Well, at the end of C15 I am already getting rid of two people, one of whom was too bone idle to show the catalogue to even one single person  and one who I just cannot be bothered to chase any more . I've texted, phoned, called round, and got to the point where it's really not worth any more time or effort. So I'm down to 9 again. But I have an appointment Friday to bring me up to 10 again :D and a some leads to chase :D and a stall at a charity ladies' night to organise :D and I'm hoping to tag a trainee sales leader this week :D so I'm trying to be on the brightside. Lynsey, it's very nice of you to say I'm an inspiration, but right now I just feel frazzled :rotfl:Anyone considering sales leadership, remember that often you will have to chase useless people (not everyone's as hardworking and reliable as us ;)) and sometimes you will have to recruit like mad just to keep your team the same size. It's not necessarily a massive negative, but in my experience nobody ever mentions it.

My C15 sales ended up around £360, I was disappointed until Dave pointed out that I sold £160 at the pub party too (if you include moneymaker Ungaro) so it's not so shabby after all! I had hardly any backorder savings, all of my customers order 'megadeal' stuff, but I did get some free bits and a free bag by ordering that makeup set and red clutch from HT16 and I saved a grand total of £3 backordering!

Well, I've rambled enough, one last thing to say:
    :beer:CONGRATULATIONS:beer:
    ON MAKING

    IT THROUGH C15 LADIES!!!
    :rotfl:

Thanks for the congrats! I am almost done with c16!!

You are so busy, I can't believe how much you have going on, well done!! You are an inspiration. I hope I have 10 in my team after being a sales leader for only 2 months - if that?

I am training to be a sales leader next week, very excited. I have 2 potentials to meet and my hubby, whome I will use to get extra commission, thanks for advice on that.

Hi everyone, i'm re-joining avon this week. Got my old asm coming tomoro to get me set up again. First time round was total disaster. I was given my road as my teritory but was already taken as are all of the roads near me apparently (i've never had an avon book tho). I only got one order for my first 2 campaigns. But as things are getting increasingly tight i've decided to try again. This time i've asked about and a few of my friends have said they'd be interested, one works in a school and no one does avon there so she said she'd take a book in for me. Feel a bit more positive about it this time round too. Will be reading through this thread over next few days to get me ready for my first campaign and loads of commission (hopefully).

Good luck and welcome back to avon!! With our support I am sure you will do better. :j

I got mine last campaign, I got a full bottle of U by Ungaro women's perfume, a full lipstick, I think it was pro to go. A bunch of order forms, loads of sample, perfume, foundation, and skin so soft samples etc. Definitely worth £10, even just for the perfume, sell on to make profit or a great gift.

Well I have no one in my team yet, but then I haven't been officially tagged yet, but I do have 3 potentials, so we will see.

I just got an invite to a montly meeting run by my asm and she said someone from avon marketing will be there to show us christmas stuff and we will get a free gift for participating - sounds like what you did kerrie?

I've had a horrible horrible day

Placed my order last night, £424 + 6 money makers YAY all excited! Had a voicemail today whilst at work saying my order was missing so called OH to get my order number off the website and called them back. I was then told they were holding my order as the amount I'd ordered was too much and I'd need to pay half up front. I asked why and they said I'd gone over my credit limit. Only 2 weeks ago my ASM told me I needn't worry unless my order came in at £1000. I then text my ASM who called me when I finished work to say she might be able to get Half my order to me now then when I've paid for that I'd get the other half

By the time I got home I was in tears, I've worked hard getting orders and if I let people down now they won't order of me again! OH managed to calm me down and called his Dad who agreed to lend me £220 to pay towards it so they'd release my order. Called Avon to check they would release my order for Friday if I pay £220 tomorrow and they said I need to pay £305   Tears all over again!!!

Luckily OH called his dad back and he's kindly agreed to lend me it but I've only just calmed down now (if I'd written this an hour ago there would've been swearing thoughout!). Just hope I still get my order by Friday. ASM said as long as I pay by 4pm tomorrow then I will but I'm finding it hard to believe anything she says anymore!

Oh mel!! What a terrible day! I didn't realise this was your first campaign, feel like we have been chatting much longer than that!

I'm so sorry that you had to go through that! You should have been told your credit limit, sounds like your asm was being lazy and now that has cost you. I hope it all works out, sending you hugs :grouphug:

  • :grouphug: Poor Mel - you have had a rotten day haven't you. I think because Avon tends to take over our lives, it can all get a bit too much at times.

Never mind - it will all come out in the wash (OMG - I'm turning into my Mum :D ). I think the low credit limit only applies for your first order, so you'll probably be laughing about it all in a couple of weeks ;)

Thought for the day: when you get to the end of your tether, tie a knot in it and hang on :D
