Definately don't bother knocking and asking - just push the books through!
People will tell you if they aren't interested or buy from someone else.
What you have to bear in mind is that some people may not have seen a book in years - and obviously they are very different now then they used to be! If you push them through, people will likely have a little look and see what a wide choice of items they sell now, not just make-up! Go back to the other houses you missed out and push the books through! Good luck xAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
I agree with Lozza
when you have a spare 5 mins you might flick through a brochure and order something, but face to face put on the spot ( pressurized situation - feels like pushy sales ) they will automatically say no.
Hope you do get more sales xxxLife is what you make it;)0 -

Was going to miss this campaign as it was just family orders and then a friend ordered £45 worth so decided to place the order.

WM1 - I agree with what has already been said. Definitely just put a book through; people will soon tell you if they don't want one. I've just had a couple of people buy for the first time after having had books for about 20 monthsAlso, someone who said she rarely buys and only wanted a book at Christmas who now buys most campaigns :j. PM me your email addy if you'd like my hints and templates.
Renegade - I think the brochure was only valid for a week, so it has probably gone now 'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Could anybody help me please. This is my 2nd campaign and it isn't going so well. I had posted 40 cats thru doors in zipped up freezer bags and left a note saying please leave outside even if not ordering and i have only received 8 back last fri. I have been back daily and left calling cards but i still haven't received any back. I don't know what to do as i have 70 more houses to do before next thurs when my camp 12 order goes in and only 8 books.
Has this happened to anyone before?
Hope everybody is having better luck than me.

Hi Danielle
Have you knocked the doors to ask for your books back as sometimes people forget to put books outside even if you leave notes.
Anyway back from my hols in Scotland and loved every minute of it.
I was wondering about the sales target over camp 10, 11, 12 for our free gifts. My invoice said I had sales of £369 towards my target but my actual sales was over £500. Are they only counting the sales after commission is taken off? Has anyone else had this?
Thanks

It can be difficult to get books back, especially before people are used to your routine. Hopefully, as people get to know you more, they'll be better about returning brochures
My advice, for what it's worth, would be to just do the best you can for this campaign, then buy more books next time (the more you buy, the cheaper per brochure).
A question  Has anyone tried 'kiting' pages (folding them so that they stick out of the top of the book)? I've been told it definitely works so I've tried it this time. Lots of work though on 85 brochures (in addition to writing the expiry date on the back), and I'm not sure if it will be worth the effort
I'll report back........!'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Thanks girls, yes i have knocked everyday for the books i've tried different time of day etc. I will defo get more brochures for camp 13 and 14. Let us know if the 'kiting' works and if it does i will give it a go. Thanks again.;)0

Does anyone have a camp 12 brochure to hand ? I'm trying to print out flyers (at work ! I don't have a printer at home) to drop brochures tonight but I wanted to put on there about the anew beauty bonus. How much do they have to spend and what is the value of the beauty bonus . IE
Spend £xx on Anew product on pages XX to XX and receive free beauty bonus worth XX.
Thanks for the this - kicking myself I forgot to bring a camp 12 brochure with me to work !
