Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

I met another Avon rep yesterday in the bank where there is also another rep. The one who works in the bank is lovely, she was asking about being a SL, told her I wasn't but so worth doing it. She is going to think about it.
The other lady I met was so unfriendly. She was wearing fitflops the pink ones, so I said excuse me, where did you purchase them from. She said Avon. I asked did she buy them from a rep, and she had looked down and seen me wearing mine.
She told me she was a rep, and I was asking did she have territory and did she live locally, and she said no, friends and family. Yes. This was all said very abruptly, like i was asking for the state secrets or something.
I said to her the reason I was asking was because I did the roads around where we live and was looking for new territory and if she didn't do roads, could I do hers? And the teller was free, so she moved off. She then dashed out of the bank so fast while I was still completing my transaction.
I was in the Post Office when she came in behind me, but I just thought forget it. I was trying to be friendly, she doesn't want to know, I give up.
So seems like the reps in my area, so far have discovered 3 of them, are all unfriendly. The only one who was willing to talk was the one in the bank and she makes 4.
I saw one of the girls who works at my local Sainsbury's with the Morgan bag, it looks lovely, and I know she would have got that from the Rep who works at Sainsburys.0 -
Quality. Watching We Love Take That on 4Music - Do What You Like, Jelly/bums/atrocius dancing... Brilliant!!
On a slightly more relevant note, the delays on Mailplan E have left me up a certain creek and lacking a paddle!! I (I can't remember if i've already posted this so ignore me if i'm repeating myself - still got a bit of baby brain!!)
I am expecting my very first order to be delivered tomorrow and had included a whole load of cheapy clearance stuff as i'm having a table at my daughters school fete tomorrow and was going to do a lucky dip. Problem is, my order which was meant to arrive today and now it won't be here until tomorrow and since it's my first delivery i've no idea what sort of time it will arrive (fingers crossed early!) and if it isnt here on time I have only got a handful of products that my SL was able to give me!! Not really enough for a lucky dip!!!
On the chance that things do turn up, if you have done a fete or similar before, what would be your tips for making it a success?! I was thinking of using the mini brochures to try and get people as customers, even if their orders are relatively small / cheap this time I would like to think that they would be a good investment over time!!
I was thinking of doing a poster saying 'Free Shower Gel with Every Order Over £10 Made Today"
Do you think that would work? What do you think would be a good price for the lucky dip? Should I put some products on display and say they could buy them for £2 each (3 for £5) or have a go at winning them in the lucky dip? (I have a few of each thing)
I really want to make a success of it as I have no orders yet this campaign :rolleyes:0 -
Thanks Summer! Don't know what happened as although I got new territory only 1 person ordered from it. Got 20 customers this camp, including my Mum who got the fit flops and myself, I've spent about £45 this camp, including fit flops, toiletries I need and some Xmas bargains!!!0

I will order the young chap on page 49. Have him wrapped immediately:p
Oh HE-LLOJust had a chance to look, and I see where you're coming from
Comes complete with an excuse to touch as well - perhaps you could do 'press Santa's nose' a bit like 'pin the tail on the donkey'..............

Well just submitted my order for C11, worst campaign yet:mad: Hoping it picks up after the summer. Only ordered 4 glam boxes, honestly thought they would be more popular and one Spectracolor lipgloss and only that was because I demo'd it.
The rose candle centrepiece in Hello Tomorrow 12 isn't in stock! Damn, I really thought it would go on my new coffee table! Oh well, that means a trip into town for me to find something else!
I want to get those fit flops myself, pretty broke just now so might have to leave it for a couple of campaigns.
Looking forward to getting my freebies too, is it only one more campaign for the 4 freebies (haircut, beauty treatments etc?)
ETA, when I submitted my order it came up with a warning saying my order wasn't due yet, freaked me out! My order is due tonight by 10pm and although this is probably a couple of hours earlier than I would normally submit it, it still isn't really early! Anyone else had this happen before?Avon Rep

Its done that to me a few times, I think its when you try to submit order from the view subtotal page. Should let you submit from main page without any problems. Just another avon glitch to keep us on our toes, lolLife isn't about waiting for the storm to pass,it's about learning to dance in the rain.0 -
Is the HOV target everything you buy on a campaign, or the invoice value?????
HOV is from the brochure prices -it can include products bought from HT & books (though obviously you won't get your discount on those). If you're close to HOV it could be worth ordering a few bits in order to get 25% - as if you are close enough you could potentially be getting yourself some bits for free!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -

Awh what a pain! Unfortunately they haven't been able to ring all the reps in the affected areas they've just done messages on the website I think, which is obviously isn't much use as not everyone checks the website everyday!
Hope it comes soon for you!
I'm hoping someone can help me - I spotted what looks like a bargain in the HT - but just want to check on the price - it is from HT for brochure 13 page 42, at the top of the page there is pink grapefruit bubble bath. It looks like the 500ml is £1.50, but the 1 litre is £1?!?!?!?! The raspberries and cream is also down at the same prices on that page. Can someone just confirm that I'm not just having a blonde moment lol!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
