Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

hi i know this must be a silly question but ive looked through a few pages and cannot find an answer. I am considering trying avon as another job to do alongside mystery shopping - i am doing anything possible to save money for stock for a business i want to set up.
anyway i would like to know if my few streets by my house are covered by someone else or not? I have lived in this house 3 years (apart from a 6 month break) and had only 3 avon catalogues. one of which i placed a big order from so thought that would mean i would get more? So i presume noone covers my street/s? I need to be sure as I am not from this part of the country and do not work or have any friends or family here so catalogues through doors will be my only way of making any money. Thanks for the help
You would need to contact one of the area team for the area but by the sounds of things it isn't covered.
You aren't under any obligation so give them a ring if it is covered you can say no thanks.Life is what you make it;)0 -

You will pay £7.50 for your first 2 campaigns
which is for your brochures and order forms etc.
Your area manager or sales leader will come and give you them, whiles she assists your first 2 campaigns.
the number is 0845 365 222 or text Avon to 80010
or join online here

angel, if you make contact with a local sales leader they will be able to enbquire about territory for you. We always try and allocate the closest available territory so even if your preferred road is covered (badly!) then you may be able to have the neighbouring road. PM me with your postcode if you like and I'll see if I can find you a SL.:jAvon Rep since C18 2008 (Sales Leader since C7 2009) and Usborne Rep since March 2008:j0

:rotfl:......the trouble is that we look at 3 brochures at any one time, plus HT and online offers and they all sort of merge into one in the end. It's really exasperating when you can remember seeing something and can't remember where.
Glad you tracked them down in the end - none of us would have slept tonight
Incidentally, as info for everyone else, it's sometimes worth ringing Avon if you want an item from an old book as they can sometimes find one for you (at least they could when the call centre was in Corby).
After all that time looking - they were out of stock0 -

I have a question regarding returns and replacements. I reordered the Claudine watch on 8 May as it wasn't in the box. On the website it still says stored and not prepared or anything. I was told that replacements were sent out imediately. I have a customer that is waiting on this:mad:
I also have put in for a few credits so far and this has not come off my invoice total, how do I get it to come off my current invoice and not my next one? Surely I don't have to pay for these products when I am returning them, it's not like I have been paid for them. I might end up adding these 2 orders that I can't deliver, customers still haven't got in touch!!! Also my £3.00 they overcharged me for a charm is not showing either, do I pay my invoice minus that? I do't understand it:o
ThanksAvon Rep

Credits no ideas sorry hun

Karen I do remember someone saying that replacements can take 7-10 days but I wonder why it still says stored, kinda like I haven't requested it, but I definitely have as I have an email form Avon stating that they have received my requestAvon Rep

Fab thanks for those links! I was told about courses they run to help you know what costs you can put down....but so far they are only on in the week and don't want to have a day of work to attend one lol! I knew I could put an amount of our electricty down (we don't have gas) but at least now I know how much :
oh do you know how to find out about these courses? I am a full time mum at mo, and am looking for a full time job but struggling, which is why I was hoping Avon would take off. Then I could work at home, DS could goto childminders 3 days a week and I would still have 4 days with him.
If the course is local to me, I could go and then update everyone on this forum.0
