Phew - this board has been busy!!
Got £150 in sales so far!! That's 2 HOV in my first 2 camps!! Looking forward to some free stuff!! Still gonna order the starter pack tho as it sounds great!
Went to do my last delivery last night and surprise, surprise she wasn't in! Probably not going to send her stuff back, my sister might buy it from me at cost. Am posting c9 to her street tonight so will put a note in hers saying I still have her order and to contact me on xxxx when she would like to pay for it or if she would like me to return in. If I've still not heard from her then she's not getting another cat!!!0 -
Well done Lyndsey:T I am almost at £150 too I think, I have about 20 or so cats to collect tonight and intend to put about the same back out again. I still have two deliveries sitting and I will try them one more time tonight so I can post a note saying this is their final chance before I send the stuff back. I really want to his £250 again so I can get my LOA2 as I hit over £300 in my first campaign so as long as I get over £250 this time I should get the bumper sample selection. Looking forward to that!
Definitely get the Starter pack, well worth it imo. I have sold the perfume at full cost so I am extremely happy;) I think I have £12.50 coming off me this campaign already though, £7.50 for my first campaigns and £5.00 for the starter pack, can't wait til all my costs are down!Avon Rep

oh do you know how to find out about these courses? I am a full time mum at mo, and am looking for a full time job but struggling, which is why I was hoping Avon would take off. Then I could work at home, DS could goto childminders 3 days a week and I would still have 4 days with him.
If the course is local to me, I could go and then update everyone on this forum.
Business Link happens all over the country and you do a basic course if you are going to be setting up your own business. I did my course about 6 years ago and I have now relocated to a different part of the country, in between I have helped run family business and books so i have a good insight in the first place. But probably invaluable to anyone whose not done this sort of thing before. It was completely free (Im sure they will even cover the childcare for you to attend) and you get a certificate at the end. Otherwise there are always book keeping and the like evening courses run at colleges. I did some of them many years ago when I was young with a baby and then progressed in giant steps with my academia to a degree but you dont need to be like me! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I have been a rep for a few years now and I am consideing becoming a Sales Leader as well. Already spoken with my manager and all sems good but the problem I can see is trying to recuit new reps. So a coupld of questions for any sales leades on here.
1 What is the best way you have recuited a rep? Any tips? (I don't wna to travel to far.)
2. Can you earn a living from being a sales leader and how many rreps do you have under you?0 -
I banked my money at the Post Office and they said I didn't need to pay the 50p admin fee and gave me the statement back and a receipt.0

That's great Lyndsey, I am pretty sure I will just pay online as it is easier for me. I will likely pay the account at the beginning of next week. I have given my other customers (2) until the 19th to arrange for a redelivery of their goods. If they don't contact me by then I am going to send them back to Avon.Avon Rep

I figured that I would have to go to the bank to put the cash in the account then go online to pay, whereas I just go straight to the counter to pay, only doing things once (I don't ever have enough money in my account to pay via my own funds!!) even if the PO queue is always stupidly long!!!0

I also have put in for a few credits so far and this has not come off my invoice total, how do I get it to come off my current invoice and not my next one? Surely I don't have to pay for these products when I am returning them, it's not like I have been paid for them.
The last lot of credits I added to my avon order took ages to show. It seemed to be only when I started to add my next order that they registered so be patient, they should appear eventually

When I rang up to register as self-employed they explained that these courses were run free of charge, and that some details would be sent in the post. I had a letter through saying a little bit about the courses, and that you can register your interest online - but can't remember whereabouts on the website it is sorry! I'm sure if you can't find it, if you give them a ring and they will point you in the right direction. It asked me if there were any days I couldn't do - I put any weekday, and yet I was emailed courses for weekdays! So I'm taking it that they don't have courses at a weekend!
I'm sure everyone would be pleased if you told us the ins & outs of the course if you do attend oneAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Summer-Caitlin wrote: »I have a question regarding returns and replacements. I reordered the Claudine watch on 8 May as it wasn't in the box. On the website it still says stored and not prepared or anything. I was told that replacements were sent out imediately. I have a customer that is waiting on this:mad: When I had to request a replacement for the "missing"
suncream on Monday I requested immediate replacement. The other 2 times that I have had to do this, the items arrived in the post within 7 days, one within 5 days. Might be worth giving them a ring to see if it has been posted yet.

Surely I don't have to pay for these products when I am returning them, it's not like I have been paid for them. I might end up adding these 2 orders that I can't deliver, customers still haven't got in touch!!! Have you a phone number? Some customers I've found will ring (theres one lady who always makes her number withheld which I find bizarre!) but others just won't - I give it a few days then normally admit defeat and give them a quick ring just in case their dog ate the letter I put through or something! I know we shouldn't have to, but I figure so long as it isn't a regular thing then I don't mind once in a while. Also my £3.00 they overcharged me for a charm is not showing either, do I pay my invoice minus that? I do't understand it:o I would say that if you pay your balance, but minus the costs of your pending returns then it should work out ok. Having said that, when I have done returns before I just paid the amount showing up as owing, and let the credit be deducted from the following campaign as I had collected in enough money to do this.
Thanks
Collecting in some books tomorrow morning so hopefully might get an order or two, I'm not very hopeful as they are from people who have never ordered/didn't order last time. Monday should be a good day, as I'm delivering orders with OH on Friday for their books to be collected on Monday - I hope I can manage to get myself a watch without having to buy make-upAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
