Oooh sorry, I managed to miss this :o

It's okay, I got 3 sign-ups in my first campaign but haven't got any so far in my second. I'm a bit stuck having 2 very young children as I can't really go out on the high street prospecting for new reps.

My plan is to build it up slowly though and go for quality over quantity in the hope that my team aren't timewasters or drop-outs. I can really go for it once the kids are at pre-school/school but that's a long way off still.

    Thank you for asking :D

    HI LozzaB

Do you get commission on your 3 reps as I thought you had to have 5 before you do? I am thinking of becoming a SL but work part time (think they are hoping to make it full time) but would really love a job that gives me more flexibility. Have looked at Gail Reynolds website which gave me inspiration but not sure if it would work where I am. Also I don't drive so would be limited to where I could get to on public transport.

Hiya, no I won't get commission until I get 5 active reps but I did get the fast start bonus of £30... now I just need to pull my finger out and get some more team members.

I've been bombarding the Manchester network on Facebook with friend requests this evening (with a second account I've opened to keep my personal one private) but I've no idea what will come of it. I might also advertise in one or two of the local freebie papers if it's not ridiculously expensive.

If there is still territory available local to you then you can always give it a go. My local village is now crawling with reps and there are no streets left so I am having to look to the next villages.

my advise is ..push your team number up now and have a rest later..lol

thats what i did...been recruiting like mad when i started thanks to flissys.com and now enjoy time of with me kids having only 1-2 signups per camp.
unfortunatly there are sooo many timewasters outthere....i remember in c4 signup 12 new reps and guess what 5 never placed an order...dont answer the phone etc. 1 went into debt...the key in salesleadership is building your team constantly and yes then one day you could be the future gail reynolds . please remember not every rep places an order everytime...

I'm already a member there but leads seldom come up in my area and when they do, they get bought before you've even had time to blink. (I'm lauries-avon ;) )

With a 27-month old and a 3-month old and no local family, I can't see my team growing especially quickly but I'd love to be proved wrong.

Sounds like you're still doing well recruiting though. I'd say definately give local newspapers a try, there are always a couple of adverts in my local free newspaper.

I signed via an ad in my local paper, so it must work! :D

Wish I had sometimes instead of through the website! The advert in the paper says that you get a free gift when you join, plus they would probably get back in touch a lot quicker than my ASM! I emailed her last Monday, no reply by the weekend so have emailed her again with the same query. Plus I always feel like I'd be helping someone if I had signed up through them, didn't really realise about them getting commission from my sales. Still, I'm not about to sign up again lol!

Is there anybody in the RAF Lyneham area that wants to sign me up to Avon?

I was told there was a lot of vacant territory so it may be worth doing. Good look with things. Keep us updated.
