Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

*slinks into thread after a VERY long absence*
Hello
Well I have been a rep for a while, but my then new area manager was horrible and then two people at work didn't pay for their order and I backed off for a while - didn't order any books and just took very small orders from family.
I don't want to do it at work any more - not worth the risk tbh plus the boss is not keen.
There are three blocks of flats at the end of my road. Do you think it would be ok to go door knocking there - I will check its free territory first but I feel it would be safer then walking the streets?
does anyone do flats? the doors always seem open???
cheers

Yep - I'm up to my wotsits in flats - 12 stairwells with at least 25 stairs per well  It's supposed to keep you fit, but I'm not convinced
I'm lucky though because mine aren't posh enough to have entryphones, just a main door and lots of grim stone steps! Has to be said, though, that some of my best customers are in the flats.'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Thanks Elliebee
I think the entry phones are broken so I should be able to get in.........!
hadn't thought about the stairs
cheers tho shall give it a go xxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Well another shocking campaign
I am really starting to lose the will to do Avon anymore
I love the products and do enjoy ordering some of their stuff but
I just wish they didn't have a minimum, think selling their products should be enough.
I have 63.50 of orders have one more definate at teatime and if my other mate has looked at the book her too.
I have given them all 3wks and they still wait till the last minute
I am so not patient I like things organised early and have everything in order.
But hey ho.
I can see me ordering without commision very soon
as I am struggling :rolleyes:Life is what you make it;)0 -
Oh Karen - don't give up :grouphug:
Is it possible that it's because you're giving them 3 weeks? I find that if I leave books out too long, then people just forget about them. You know what it's like when you have loads of time to do something - you keep putting it off and never get around to it at all.
Of course [STRIKE] you could make up your order to minimum then return the stuff when you have a good campaign[/STRIKE], ahem, you could order lots of stuff for yourself :rotfl:

LOL
I am not giving up
just one of those days
It is mainly people I don't see
I live in a town 15miles from here and my family live there and a few friends, so they are my customers but I only see them maybe once a fortnight but they email me there orders or text them to me.
But I constantly have to remind them.
I have ordered a fair bit myself this month I have a birthday next week
the woman is like an adopted gran to the kids so have ordered her a nice necklace and earrings and a bottle of perfume.
Would have spent that on her in the shops anyway.
Plus I got the wee one the Thomas Tank stuff as he is 3yrs on Sunday so will have that for him on Monday xx
I am too bloody lazy to do all the return crap :P
I don't even do it when I should.
One customer was sending back a lip liner because the tip had broken off
but rather than send it back I kept it and ordered her another one
the only good thing with not a lot of orders
it means my samples are not going down so quickly :T
thanks for the motivation hun
Think I may try my next door neighbour from C9 and my mums Neighbours
(there is no rep over there) and they are family friends now so not poaching someones patch:T

Hi everyone
Hope everyone is doing fine!
Karen C9 looks like it could be a really good campaign, here's hoping that it might mean bigger sales for you. I would do what Elliebee suggests, order stuff for yourself that you do of course intend to keepto get you above MOV.
Well I was going to give myself a week off so I don't need to think about Avon, but I keep thinking I should have cats out, always on the lookout for sales now, lol. So yesterday I put out 20 C8 cats to the other part of my territory I didn't get to do last time. Will collect them on Thur. Haven't started campaigning for C9 yet, will wait until I get my order delivered on Friday. I am a bit worried about getting it though as I don't know how many boxes it will be, or what time it will come. Surgery is open from 8am-6pm so hope it is between that time. I spent all my commission and then some, not going to let it happen again though, needed to stock up on things for myself...well that's my excuse!Avon Rep
