Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

hi everyone,
long time no speak!

I have a quick question, my delivery for c7 is on monday, according to my invoice and online info, but monday is Easter Monday, are they really going to deliver that day or should I expect it on tuesday?

The online info will be correct, Avon are working normally over Easter.

Does anyone have a colour changing Thomas Torch in their stock? I missed a customers order last campaign and promised to order her one this time but its showing on my invoice as sold out. Id be most grateful if anyone can help out please.:o

Does anyone have an answer to my query on the other page? Also I wondered about setting up a website that I could use to specifically advertise as a rep, am I allowed to do that?

I am really concerned that the area I live in may not be a good place for the orders to come flooding in and if my colleagues friend is using my workplace, I'm all outta luck

Sorry Caitlin - I think we're all just waiting for someone better qualified than ourselves to answer Welcome anyway :wave:

It seems to vary enormously how well people do with Avon. Some do very well with just 'Family & Friends' (which means you don't have a territory but can get orders at work, from local shops, playgroups, or anywhere else you visit), while other's, like myself, find that they need some streets to canvass in order to make it work for them. The good thing is that the set-up cost is very reasonable - £30 if I remember rightly, but split into two, so £15 from your first order and £15 from your second (3 weeks later). Sales campaigns are every 3 weeks, and you need an order of £78 (?) to qualify for 20% discount on the whole order (except brochures & demo items). The higher commission level is 25% and is for orders over around £150 (? help, someone! :cool:). If your order is under £78 then you get no discount at all.

Why not give it a go - there are lots of perks in the form of free items for yourself if you take care with your ordering (see earlier posts in this Forum) and everyone on here is very supportive and ready to answer questions. Let us know how you get on :beer:

I have 80 brochures bagged up ready to be delivered tonight but I ran out of bags so the other 40 or so will have to wait til I've been to poundland (hopefully after work today) ... fingers crossed for lots of sales

It's £15 in total, £7.50 from first campaign and £7.50 from second

One of my main concerns is there is a woman at my work whose friend does Avon. Every 3 weeks she brings in the catalogue to sell to my co workers. Now this woman doesn't work here and I think is should be okay for me to sell to my colleagues, but I don't want to step on anyones toes. I mean one of the main pros to being an Avon rep would be the ability to sell to my colleagues and at least I would be here if anyone has any queries about products etc.

I was going to ask my colleague if her friend could sign me up, that way I could say that I would like to sell to my colleagues, wouldn't she get some kind of commission out of me?

Also, what about the website idea? I am pretty good at organising stuff like that and think I would have a better chance at selling more items if I could put up a website. What do you think? I enjoy making gift baskets and was thinking of advertising being able to make up anything in a gift basket if they wanted and showing examples...
