Well, from 74 books, I only managed to get back 59 this evening. I'm going to try and get the others on Thursday and if I don't get them then put a card through the door saying I will collect on Monday. If still no joy then I will have to lose them. A lot were C5 books anyway so not too bad.

Out of the 59 books I got back I got 4 orders. My total now stands at £42.90 for C6. I've managed to do my first bit of clever back ordering as a lady ordered 2 lots of pedi-peel pads at £5.70. In C5, it's 3 for £6 in that section so I can order another item for myself for 30p ;) .

Including the 15 books I still need to get back, I've got 122 houses left to get books to/from. Hopefully I will get some orders from these as really need to boost my total.

Ooh... remember a while ago someone was talking about not delivering a brochure to the lone man... Well I've got a delivery from one today... So it does work!!

He ticked the box asking for no more brochures :( In fact out of 17 houses i managed to deliver C6 to, 6 said they didn't want them anymore) I have the other half of the estate to try next time with C7 though.

Do I actually have to pay avon before they will deliver my order? I'm really worried as I am due an order being delivered on Wednesday but the website just says the orders been prepared.

Any tips on increasing orders for C7? My £100 order seemed a bit unworthy :(

  • No you dont have to pay them upfront unless you go over your credit limit (so i believe). I didnt have that problem with my first order...lol

You do have to pay for your order 13 days after it is delivered or when you place your next order if that is earlier.

... I have packaged up my 30 brochures to deliver to my imediate neighbours but i am scared !! lol What a wimp am I. I just have this vision of people shouting at me when i put a brochure through the door  .
I want to deliver them tomorrow as well...lol. How long do you all normally give customers to look through a brochure?

Think i need a bit of a push ...lol

Thanks for your reply Rachjo :) I'll give it till the middle of the week and then maybe check up on it

I was in a rush with C6 as i signed up as a rep half way through the campaign so i gave them 2 days. I think normally i will give them 4 days depending on how many brochures i will have.

I was soo scared posting my first brochures but most of mine left them outside and they were polite a few ticked the "no more books" box.

Have I got the right end of the stick here?...

If I sign up my OH, who already works full-time, he will have to pay 20% tax on any profit he makes but he will be able to claim exemption from the class 2 NICs as his self-employed earnings will be well below the threshold?

I've just had email newsletter thru saying to offer my customers out of C6 book, spend £10 on make up and get an Oasis watch for £5. Is this right ? ? Seems a very good deal !
    Thanks x
  • posted 29 books to a street on my new territory last night. First time that I have done territory so was very nervous. Only spoke to 3 people 1 was a man who said his wife loves looking through stuff like that lol one older lady was very pleasant and happy to take the book and one said no thanks. Picking back up on Thursday

Fingers crossed all books are left out and there are a few orders

I had that email but thought that they had the wrong campaign number because that is an offer coming up in either 8 or 9

Was to late to add to my C6 order

It is nerve racking and I've been doing avon years. I am recanvassing my territory and have just been given some new streets too and I am so nervous posting books:o I think someone is going to run out of the house waving the book at me not to come back. I can't decide whether to go in the day when less people at home or at night when it's dark although I did that last night and as I was walking up peoples' driveways the security lights kept coming on:eek: . I must add no one has ever chased me and nothing bad has ever happened just had the odd snooty person who " doesn't do avon" .
Oh well just need to pull myself together. Books don't earn you money sat at home.
