Well I spent this evening writing out my forms and a sticky note for each book to say if they don't want future books to please write their address down on the post-it note. OH looked at me rather strangely as I sat on the sofa scribbling away while he watched the previews for cheltenham racing. I've asked him to help me deliver C6 tomorrow, but to be honest I don't have many books (20 I think max) and if the racing is on he won't budge from the sofa. Can't see it taking long to pop around them. I think I am going to deliver to the houses closest to mine first, except I know one neighbour is a man living on his own so I will leave him out.

I think so far, orders from my mum and myself come to about £20 to £25. I need to give my sister a book and get her to show her friends but deadline is quite tight. I think i can possibly drop C6 twice, except I don't know if I should wait until I get C7 and run both as long as I keep a log of which houses have already had C6.

My current territory is about 60 houses and my new territory is 130 houses... What's the easiest way to get the new territory on old campaign and the old territory on the new campaign?? I've only got about 18 brochures of C6 and have 25 of C7. I'm obviously just still on with the old territory with the C6 and not delivered the C7 yet but when it's time to do that How will I get round 130 houses with 18 brochures?!

Can't believe how many people had this problem when they joined, that must be about 3/4 that I remember on this thread... Either they have bad data inputters or our SL's are bad writers :rotfl:

I'd cover as many houses as possible with your 18 books this time, then when you place your order if you can afford it order some more c7's and extra C8's then you'll cover more of your new territory in the future. You'll soon see how many brochures you need to buy each campaign to get round your houses comfortably in the 3 weeks you have. Plus some people will probably let you know they don't want to receive Avon brochures and that will lower your numbers slightly.

Good luck :D . Don't leave out the man on his own. One of my customers is a sweet old man who clearly lives on his own and he ordered a load of men's shaving stuff which came to over £17. You never know. If he doesn't want a book then you have given him the option to let you know.

My first order comes today :j . My SL said that it comes between 8pm and 9pm in this area so I'm going to try and hang on for it before going into work a bit later.

I'm delivering the orders tomorrow night and putting my next lot of books round to 2 of my roads then too. I've worked out my little schedule. Just hope I have enough books to do it with, I've got half the books I had for C5.

What do you all do about the houses that you couldn't get the books back from? Some of them I knocked on 3 times to try and get the books back and they still weren't answering/in. Out of 97 houses, I couldn't get the books back from 12 of them. That's ok for my C5 books as I had 100 of them but I can't afford to lose 12 of my C6 books as next campaign I'm going to have to cover my other territory with these and it will be hard enough to do this with 50 let alone 30-40.

I'd keep a note of those house numbers and go to them last if you have enough time/books left xx

What I did was pop a note through the door saying I called to collect your book, sorry I missed you, could you please leave outside even if not ordering, I will collect tomorrow - then if it wasn't out the next day I go back a couple more times, and if after that point I don't get it back I cross them off the list, unless it looks like they might be on holiday in which case I pop another note through saying if you've been on holiday please leave your book outside, I check regularly for outstanding books so it will be collected fairly soon. Luckily I haven't lost too many - possibly with it being half term recently some of the people might have been on holiday?

I agree with melvis - just try and do as many houses as possible, over the next couple of campaigns you'll be able to cover more houses, especially as you discover those that don't want a book. Next time definately order more books though for your next campaign, I'd go for at least 40, if not more, depending upon how much time you have (me personally I'd probably get 60 to avoid going out as many times, but that's as me & OH both work full-time on long hours) that way you can cover your "old" territory in about one go, and your "new" territory on 2 or 3 go's once they are on that campaign.
