  • Hi, recently signed up to avon my daughter is helping me out (or is that vice versa!!) anyway she is clicking the commission but everything is in my name I place the order and pay etc. I am making about £40 per month commission how will this affect me for tax ? Want to keep everything above board but being in 40% tax bracket wonder whether to re-register in hubbys name who is in lower tax bracket....

Is anyone here a Rep near Sherburn-in-Elmet as I have a friend there desperate for a new rep now that her's has vanished?

As for me, I'm submitting my C4 tonight and am up to £300 already so am chuffed as I'm averaging a similar amount or more for each campaign <woohoo> I've met all the iNRDP targets so far, including the superstar in just 4 campaigns, and hope to get all of the goodies on offer. Oh and my calculator in the organiser didn't work either until I put it in direct sunlight lol.

My ASM keeps trying to get me to be a sales leader but I have my hands full at the moment with my 2-year old and 1-month old and getting used to life with 2 little ones. Maybe later in the year though.

We've still got snow everywhere so it's been fun going on my rounds with the tandem pushchair up the slippery hills. I'm out again today getting my last books in and it's up the worst hill where the sun doesn't reach.

Did anyone do the Solutions money-maker and was it worth doing?
:jAvon Rep since C18 2008 (Sales Leader since C7 2009) and Usborne Rep since March 2008:j
  • Hi Lozza,

i think your sposed to just beat what u got in the last campaign (so number 5) and also beat the amount of customers u had so gain new ones in C6.

    Thanks dark_angel

I placed my order last night and I ordered various products for the party from bath treats, make-up, jewellery & perfume.
Also focussed on the Anew Clinical range and thought that some of the beauty bags with products from the sale leaflets & bargain corner in HT, might go down a treat at the party.

And for my goody bags I ordered samples from the Anew range, some perfumes, pro-to-go lipsticks and skin so soft range.

As this is my 1st party...I'm hoping I did the right thing, as my SL has not given me any guidance:confused:
And I'm now worried, that I might have gone bit overboard:huh:

I just want to make a good impression and look prepared.
And don't want to be upstaged by the Ann Summers Rep that will also be at the party:cool:

    any ideas ??
  • any ideas ??

I'm no expert on the subject (being a non-taxpayer ;) ), but I would assume that any Avon earnings would be added to your taxable income. However, don't forget that you can deduct all reasonable expenses; ink, paper, other stationery etc. as well as the obvious things like brochures. Be careful about declaring use of your car though, unless you are insured for business use.

It may well be the best option for your Husband to become an Avon Lady ;)

There are a couple of contibutors to this site who are well versed in these matters, so hopefully they will 'drop-in' soon and be able to give you a definitive answer.

  • I know I have asked this before but is anyone near the derby city centre?

Need a favour, not every time but sometimes I need some one to take my orders for me. I work full time and I can't always be at home. I am in stenson fields.
