  • Hi everybody! I am in New Zealand and its been fascinating reading through this forum. It is interesting to see that most people collect their brochures and redistribute. My brochures only go to one household and if they are not ordering i never see them again. one of the reasons for this is to accomodate the 'right brain visual learners' amongst us mad kiwis, who like to circle and star reference in brochures

it is also interesting to see the information about sales leadership. We dont have this in New Zealand. Sales reps deal directly with the area managers and there is no MLM. Having said that, this may come later.

I must say, I am very jealous of the British products and brochures! We only have approx. 120 pages per campaign and the selection is very limited compared to yours. Our products are also quite far behind yours. We still havent got alot of the mentioned items.

So thanks for the great reading! I have picked up many useful tips.

    Anna:)
  • Hi again,

I am going to get signed, Only problem is that the area I got given last night is only 69 houses, Will they extend it?

Cant see me making MOV with only that many.

Ellejay, what I do (and what others do too) is give you your territory in manageable chunks. Quite often I'll have got up to 200 homes for a rep, but if I leave a newbie with 200 homes and 20 books it's a bit overwhelming! So I'll give part of the territory, get the rep to canvass that, then give them some more, then the rest. It's just to kind of try and ease people in slowly.

If you've actually only been allocated 70 odd homes, you can ask for more once you've done what you've got, and, assuming there's some available, you'll happily be given more. Did whoever signed you up give you a target or an expected earnings figure for the territory?
  • no. I rang through to AVON and they said they would look at what territory they had around my area. I said I was happy to jump in the car but as it happened it is only a few streets away. My street itself already has a rep. Only seen her once in 4 months though. Anyways the area sales team rang me back saying they had the little area. 4 streets 69 houses. So i said ok. I am waiting for a call from my actual SL so that I can meet her and sign up.

That is all that was said. I wasn't given any targets or anything. Maybe my SL will go thorugh that with me?

I am just now thinking thinking that I will not make MOV and end up loosing money rather than making it.

Also I work full time, has anyone ever had issue with getting the delivery co to drop either before 8.30am or after 5pm?

Elle, I would definitely request to know the expected sales, though your SL will go through that with you when they sign you up. If you don't make MOV then tell the ASM you want more or you'll leave - unfortunately some ASMs guard territory as though it's the keys to the kingdom, and the only thing they understand is people leaving because it affects their figures. After all, if you don't make MOV then what is the point!

That said, I'd be surprised if you don't make MOV on 70 homes.

If you are at work you'll need to give an alternative delivery place or a 'safe location' for your stuff to be left. Unfortunately you can't request a specific delivery time, and there's no guaranteeing you'll get deliveries at the same time each campaign. Mine, for example, is normally here by half eight but here's me like a lemon today, still waiting for it

Your SL will go through everything when they come to sign you up, so don't worry ;) If they don't mention something you can always ask.
  • ok, any ideas as to what I could do then? You cannot get into the back garden from the front, I dont have a garage and I really can not have it delivered to work as I don't want them to know I have a second job.

Oh my, mabe this was a bad idea. I have read a few posts on here though where people have spoken to the delivery company to see if they will deliver at a certian time. Has anyone in Derby done that?

well i just got a responce about the calculator..
    Dear Johanne,

Thank you for your recent email.

This item will now be exchanged as requested. Your replacement item will be included with your next order. Please return the unwanted item, following the returns procedure, which can be found on the inside cover of your returns book.

There is no need to request this exchange on your order form.

Not sure if they will be replacing the calculator or the whole organiser?? As i only asked for a new calculator.. If its the organiser hope they dont mind the fact ive used the pad and the outside is mud splattered thanks to collecting in the rain....:rotfl:
  • Cheap skates....
Why can't they just send you another, i ain't had a reply back yet.

So you can't send it back until after your next delivery in case it's just the calculator that comes.

That's brilliant :T . Did it take you long to build up that many customers? Sorry for all the questions. I am just interested.

    Thanks
    Anne

I think we have been doing it 18 or 24 month now, it didnt take too long to build a round up, its hard at the start but does get easier.

Has anyone else seen the recession flyer on the website front page to go with campaign 4 and 5?

Its 11 A4 pages of full colour!! No way i can afford to print 50 copies of them out, but the offers are great! Some the products are 1/2 the price of the brochure so i think it would encourage sales... but i cant afford to print them so dont know what to do! Grrr!!

Wish they could just print them and send them to us or do them on 1 A4 sheet so would be better for us to print off...
