Now, if you want a real laugh, just take a look at the 6 page, highly coloured, Christmas brochure that Avon want us to print off at our own expense :rotfl: I find the cost of ink bad enough as it is, without printing several dozen flyers!

I just printed one copy out to pin up at my Avon party tomorrow night :D

oh and just a question - how are people going to deal with the C2 promotion where customers have to enter their voucher number online? I know alot of my customers dont have internet as they are elderly.... so how will they know if they have won?

hubby printed the flyers for me at work, naughty i know!!

maybe offer that you will put their codes in for them?
  • Re lipstick - I suppose (as long as you trust her) you could say 'try it, and either return it or pay for it in a few days'. That way, you should either have payment or a return to enter before you pay for it yourself.

They did a similar competition earlier this year and I think the best way is to offer to check it yourself for those who don't have the internet. I must say, I think it's a bit 'off' for Avon to decide that everyone should have internet access  Having said that, I don't think most people even noticed that there was a comnpetition so it may well be best to keep quiet unless anyone actually asks

got my delivery yesterday, all ok, the demonstration bag was the +1 item!!, all orders gone out and paid for.

Ive just ordered the sunrise clock from Avon to get the free delivery. great tip thanks. someone has ordered it and i don't want the hassle of upsetting a new customer. i know i won't make any commission on it but better to be safe than sorry.

im wondering if anyone has an Oasis Watch surplus to requirements please for a friend/customer who has lost hers that her mum bought for her and needs to replace it asap.
i can get the order number if req.

can anyone help me with national insurance please? I got the exempt thingy, and I pay NI through my job anyway. then today I got a bill for £9.20 that has t be paid by jan.
    i really dont understand!
    Hi Mousie

If NI hasn't changed to how it worked 20 years ago (& I don't think it has), if you have 5 jobs & are earning more than the Lower Earnings Limit or Small Earnings Exception limit (approx £90 a week) in each of them, then you have to pay NI in each of them. The rates you have to pay it at are on the link below. Employed is Class 1 & self-employed is Class 2.

    http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/rates/nic.htm

Best thing to do if you are still confused is to phone them.

    National Insurance: International Services Helpline
Phones are open (UK local time), Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    From the UK
    Telephone: 0845 915 4811
    Fax: 0845 915 7800

    Hope this helps :)
