Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

Hi Kat

The presenter book is probably called different things in different places! It is one of those plastic books with clear plastic pockets inside - you can get them in Staples, or even The Range, Wilkinsons or (possibly) a Pound Shop or Home Bargains. It's the sort of thing that rep's use to show info to customers.
As to the delivery slips, I put the bit about delivery on the bottom of the slip saying which day I'll collect the brochure. I'll PM you with details.

i hope i dont seem rude but could you pm me the details too? I started avon maybe this time last year and I know that I could put a little more effort in to get a lot more sales!!

Also do you know how to find out if there is another rep in ur area? I have moved house (even though its only 5mins from the last one!) so I dont want to tread on any1s toes!!!

Regarding finding another rep in your area - this is only my personal experience.

When I got signed up in Feb, it was by ASM who lives on other side of scotland! She informed me that noone did my street. So I tried a few of the houses (its nearly all flats where I am) and got three orders. (2 from my block of flats and 1 out of 8 houses)

When getting the order from the delivery man, I found out he delivered to one of the houses and there was a rep living there - who doesnt do the street, just the houses and her work.

I tried to recanvass thse street and got books back but no orders - rep does them if they want anything - said she didnt get much from it anyway.

found out these details after speaking to rep months later and also noticed the van delivers to two other houses in the street!!! So kinda gave up the idea of doing it as flats were too much hassle and moved onto my boyfriends area (which is all houses and no avon reps as far as we know)

From that point, Ive not actually been assigned that territory but figured worth trying it out - people can tell me if there is a rep. Still waiting 5 months down the line for other "official" avon territory from my AM

Moral of this? Id say go for it in your own local area unless specifically told there is a rep covering x y and z?Worth seeing if delivery man makes any stops nearby? (note delivery driver did NOT tell me rep address but just pointed to houses)

after starting avon in may and only getting 3 customers i have knocked it on the head but i still have order sheets and a couple of paper bags if anybody wants them first come first served as im not going to fork out to send them here there and everywhere! i also have the bag with some free samples in it, it's the one that cost a tenner but i dont want anything for it.

Hi everyone,

Just an update on my progress for my first campaign. I started Avon 8 days ago, in that time I have dropped brochures in just over half of my territory of 109 houses.

I have managed to collect 26 brochures back so far, another 38 were only dropped today and the rest didn't leave the brochures out, so will have to return.

Out of the 26 I got back so far I have received 5 orders totally £76.50, so I have reached the first target - yey! I have the other half of my territory to drop and brochures to collect and my mum and mums neighbour have orders for me too, so I am very happy with my progress so far.

Well ladies, I have signed up my fourth newbie this evening and I have my fifth booked in for tomorrow evening, plus my sixth for Tuesday. Our C15 (when I was tagged for) starts a week today, so hopefully I go straight in as an earning sales leader! And my sales have gone mental, even with a so-and-so trying to steal my territory. I think I've done pretty well for someone who joined Avon three weeks and two days ago - I'm surprised how much easier recruiting is than I thought it would be.

The orders I have so far are from work/my Mam

I collect my first brochures back after work today then drop to the rest of that street and any remaining ones to the other street I've been given to collect on Sunday and my order goes in Monday night (the lovely Julia is coming round at 5pm to show me how!).

Will I receive my C15 brochures with my order next Friday? And am I right in thinking I can still use C14 brochures to deliver to houses that have not yet had one and place those orders with my C15 order?
