yeah the website was down over a weekend.. just found the email:

    "
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Please note: Due to essential maintenance, we are unable to update the Avon website between
Friday 14th November and Monday 17th November.

The offer below will be available over this period with your next offer being made available on
    Tuesday 18th November."

  • So much for anything on the website today re VAT:confused:

Hmm! 26 deals in 30 days? Well, if they can't count, they're going to find VAT well beyond them, so perhaps that explains a lot :p

someone has posted this message over at Flissys:

As you will be aware, the UK Government recently announced a temporary reduction in VAT from 17.5% to 15%, effective from 1st December 2008.
At Avon we have looked at several options to reflect this change but, due to the complexity of our systems, we are unable to respond to this VAT reduction in time to impact Campaign 1 2009.
However, from Campaign 2 onwards (Trendsetter C4) you will see on your invoice a nominal increase in your earnings. This is the earliest that we can reflect the impact of the VAT changes on Representatives’ discounts.
We will also be investing in some extra special offers that will be promoted on a Christmas Sale Flyer. This will be available online from early December for you to print off and promote to your customers.
Additionally, we will continue to review all future brochure special offers so please be reassured that Avon will continue to give great value for money. We will do this by creating great promotions and special offers, rather than by passing on insignificant price reductions on individual products. Please pass on this information to your customers.
We do, of course, appreciate that the VAT reduction is a temporary measure by the UK Government and we will respond to any further changes as they arise.

Quick question is there any samples available of the Extra Rich plump lipstick??

I have had a customer ask if its possible... i know i could order the full one and send it back if she doesnt like it... but i wouldnt know how to do that without charging her upfront.

I have the colour she requested in a pro-to-go sample but think she wants to actually try the plumping bit! IYSWIM
  • Just put in my first order - wow that was easy :) Most of it's in stock too. I left the things that said OOS on the order, just in case.... *fingers crossed*

Total customer orders were = £391.00
    My commission = £84.23

    Whooooo hoooooo !!!!!

OK I spent most of it back in the brochure, but it was mainly on Christmas presents that I'd have paid elsewhere for anyway & a couple of little Christmas treats for myself, so I'm extremely happy :)
  • Well Done Whooooosh

Well just delivered some books with tick forms in to see if people still want to recieve a catalogue. Hopefully will get some orders. Only got £13 for C1 so far. Getting a bit worried. However, not had ant family orders yet so hopefully that will bump it up.:o

Thats what I always think. My partner is forever saying "I don't know why you bother doing Avon when you spend all your profits" and my response is always "I'd rather spend £20 of my commison than go to boots and pay that £20 out of my purse" :D

  • Melvis, I've decided that as this the third book I've delivered to my whole estate, if they dont tick any of the boxes then I'm not going to deliver the book. People that have ordered before will still get a book though. (Does that make sense? )

Im asking for more roads after xmas so need to trim down some of the books I am delivering now. I will probably recanvess every now and then though
