  • has anyone actually had an invoice from avon since the vat prices have come down?

It may well show up in invoice/news etc if there is any reduction.

    Thanks for that deanos.

Is it fun with some good freebies? (that's my daughter lol). Or is it a bit of a chore? Hubby doesn't really want me to take anything else on so a bit of arm twisting may be the order of the day!
    Hi goodlife

I am now on my 6th campaign, and have found this forum invaluable. I started doing Avon initially because we never seemed to have a rep for more than 2 campaigns and I got fed up ordering stuff that never arrived!

I have a full time job and also work three evenings a week waitressing, so fitting it all in can be a bit of a juggling act. I am often delivering brochures at 8 o'clock in the morning before heading off to work.

It does take a bit of time to become known in your territory, and to weed out customers who just aren't interested, but it seems to take less and less time each campaign. Although I have just taken on another 125 houses and am gradually getting round them, and have had a couple of good orders.

With regards to freebies, with clever ordering you can soon accumulate quite a stash! There are also some really good clearance items in your Hello Tomorrow, which make fabulous Birthday/Christmas gifts.

    Welcome to the boards!

regards the vat thing, can you imagine what a pain in the you know where its going to be to re-do everyones bill, cos if avon do send the invoices with the updated ammounts then weve got to re-ad up everyones ammounts, then in 13 months time when vat goes back up we have to do it again!

Oh my - I completely didn't think about the VAT and Avon - I wonder if they'll let us know via the website or something?

Anyway, as I'm getting more used to these forums, I thought I'd ask another question. It seems that most people on here get a lot of support from SL, ASMs - I haven't heard from my SL since my first campaign (5 months ago) and I would really like more territory in the NY. Should I ring her or try to find out my ASM? If so, how do I find out who my ASM is?

    Thanks

If the VAT changes on the invoice we are going to charge what it says in the book , we are not going to re adjust everybodys bill as its too big a job.
  • Hiya everyone, i've been reading this forum for a few days now, very useful, i've been doing Avon for 8 campaigns now, first time i went out to post my first brochures though a few people opened the door told me to never post through again that they're sick of it, one opened the door and ranted at me, one opened the door threw the brochure at me and gave me a lot of verbal abuse and language, hense to say i didnt wanna do it anymore after that, but for the nest few times my boyfriend came out with me - he doesnt care he just strolls up and does it without worrying - if it hadnt been for him coming out with me i would have paacked it in, but now have some regulars who are very nice, but still not earning enough to make a good living out of it, my orders generally come in at about 200 though did have one set for 400, what kind of money does everyone else make from doing it and how many customers do you have? :o
