How many houses do you have on average then guys? I dont want to take on too many you see but I want enough for it to be worth while. I'm very lucky because I drag my boyfriend around as my little helper!

Hi Jem,

I started with 115 houses but it is already down to 91, due to the people who have said they are not interested, and it will be whittled down even more once I canvass the whole area, so even if you start with a street of 100, it won't be long before you get it down to a reasonable number of regulars, plus if that is still daunting I am sure you can request a small road or cul-de-sac.

So far only one person has told me she's not interested. A lot of people have told me although they haven't ordered this time they will in the future so keep putting books through the doors. And I'm highly surprised by the amount of people who leave the books outside for me :T

I have £189 now coz just got my mums order, I'm gonna ring and ask them to confirm my credit limit, and if its £200 I am stopping, but if I get lucky and its more, I will canvass the other 40 houses I have left to do.

I dont know how everyone else does it, but I am going to have one side of the street on c14 and one on c15, then deliver there orders and then the next week, give those who had c14 the c15, and those who had c15, give them c16, and just do that every 3 weeks. Not sure if that made any sense!

Oh dear melvis, it says you are on mailplan O, sorry! That explains why you are just starting c15 when I am just finishing mine and I am on mailplan F.

Wow, good for you, sounds like you have an amazing street. I don't mind that people have said no, because I was expecting it, although I have to say I feel worse about it now - thanks!
