Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

Quick question, i was signed up by a Area Manager and he never has time for me. Only on the day i was signed up, a few people have said that it's better to have a Sales Leader. Is there any way of swapping or getting help from them? as he is doing nothing and i e-mailed and rang him and nothin back after 3 weeks.

I am still having problems with my area and wondering if the sales leader might be able to help me?

What I have done is i put my book in zip lock bags and put a note in with every book saying when i will collect the book and asking them to leave it outside to save disturbing them, I also put on the note when delivery will be and also put on it that if they dont want a book in future to leave me a note in the bag.
When i get an order i put another note through the door to confirm i have collected the order, confirm when delivery is and of course to say thank you!
Ive found most people leave the books out and they leave notes if they dont want any more.
I work afternoons and evenings, but if i do go round in an evening to collect the books and they arent out i put a calling card through the door asking them to ring me if theyd like to order, as I dont like to disturb ppl in an evening, i made an extra £50 in sales last time doing this.

The cheek of it!

Someone I work with lives in one of the roads I have been allocated and she has advised that she has already have 2 books in the last 2 weeks. I was not going to give out the books to this road until Saturday but there is no point me bothering now.

I have left a message on my Area Managers answering machine but I dont know if she can do anything about it.

Would you guys reccomend I ring this representative directly or just steer clear of this road?

I am a bit miffed as this is my first campaign and it has been going well so far.

If you have any hints or tips as I am then new then please let me know!

it seems everyone is having this problem at the moment, your asm should get back in touch soon, i wouldnt ring the rep and leave it to your asm hopefully she will sort it sharpish

wow, thats really bad! i dont understand it because every avon rep knows they get assigned streets to do, and that if they havent been assigned a certain street its probably because someone else already does that street. They wouldnt like it if someone canvased their designated street!!
Years ago when I did avon, I did my own street. Someone else on my street began doing avon, knowing i already did our street, she still put her books through ppls doors and even had the cheek to put one though my door!
I really cant get my head around some peoples way of thinking, i really cant!
I hope you can all get your areas sorted out, and quickly!

Hopefully she will ressolve this for me. To be honest there's only 10 houses but it's the principle of it!

I have re canvassed the whole area as I am new so I will know who is and isnt interested in recieving them. If there arent many I may take on another road but it's 100 houses.

How many houses do you have on average then guys? I dont want to take on too many you see but I want enough for it to be worth while. I'm very lucky because I drag my boyfriend around as my little helper!

Loving this site, it is really helping me out a lot.
