ive just finshed my first campaign and have earnt a grand toal of about 10quid after i pay the 7.50 fee. i am just not sure i am cut out for ringing on peoples doors and asking them to buy. i took the view that if the booklet wasnt left out for me they wont have ordered. i suppose thats the wrong way of thinking? i cant force people to buy.
  • Not done much Avoning this week just waiting for orders from my cousins and sisters work. So not alot to say lol.

Might email my ASM (dont seem to have a SL) to ask about a couple more roads but as I've only got 9 weeks till baby (should) arrive dont want to take on too much just yet.

I've found I've had to use my 40 books 3 times to get through my territory (still not finished, at the moment I've got half on C18 and half on C1 and I suspect I'll continue like that). So it was essential to me to get as many books back as possible. If people don't leave them out then they get a knock on the door!! I don't worry too much if I lose a couple on a road, but try to get the majority of them back.

Two people last week both asked to keep the book for another day, then both ordered, and neither of them left their books out for me!!

On a personal note, when we used to be "customers" we didn't always remember to leave the book out and appreciated a knock on the door to pick it up, as we often had an order but had just forgotten to leave the book out!

Knock on door, big smile, "Sorry to disturb you, but I've come for the Avon book?". Think I've been lucky but not had a rude reply yet (although have been answered by a couple of very bemused teenagers waiting for mum to come home).

I've officially got 136 houses in my territory, after removing those who order elsewhere or have "no cold callers" stickers I'm left with about 120ish I reckon.

I delivered C18 to as many as I could after I got my territory on 3rd November. My order was put in on 19th November and I think I'd done about 70 or 80 of those 120 houses over 3 drops.

Keep dropping, you might get a nice surprise. I didn't think I'd hit HOV, what with fitting it all in I thought I'd be lucky to make MOV, and in the end I was able to order some of my customer's stuff from HT to make more money and still hit HOV! (Just!)

well after struggling wiht C18 my Sil came through with a £35 order last minute yay...also I was so glad I waited till this morning to confirm my order as I had a text from a new customer on my territory telling me she had left an order out for me today and that it was quite a bit one...it was £61.50!! so now I have managed to make HOV which is great...I had such a bad day yesterday as I had knocked on a customers door at 9.15am when the book wasn't out and had got her out of bed, she was not a happy bunny :o so from a rubbish day yesterday to a good one today, that seems to be the way with Avon for me...

I was a bit lazy this time, but thought I would just put a book through half a dozen doors that I hadn't had orders from so far just in case and got that £61.50 order from doing that!!

I am going to do a prize draw for C1 as I have some bits in for prizes now....does anyone have an example of one that they have done? am trying to do one, but I think it looks a bit rubbish!!

donefor HT is 'Hello Tomorrow' the pamphlet that comes with orders and lets you buy things to demonstrate to customers and has a clearance bit at the back...it also shows the commision values on the 'fixed discount' goods which are the branded ones like 'hello kitty' etc.
Starting with Avon C6 target sales £150.00

Hi "done for" - Yes you'll need to register online once you have your account number. It's all pretty straightforward from there. You can set up an order and update it as you get orders in, saving it as you go, and then submit it to Avon once you have got all your orders in.

HT is Hello Tomorrow, it contains clearance offers which will appear in a future campaign (think its 2 campaigns ahead), and demo products. As this is my first campaign, I couldn't "creative order" using the previous brochure, so instead I found that 2 of my customers items were in demo products, and cheaper than after my discount, so I ordered them from there. Only made another £2.50 but every penny counts!!!
  • My sales have been quite low reecently and am thinking, for 1 final push before Christmas make C1 an incentive to buy campaign (and C18 for the small other bit of my round). I was thinking of putting "every order gets a mystery gift for Christmas" but then what if people order things for £1-2??? I could give them an eye liner or something or shall I make it orders over £5?? £10?? I was just going to give a gift for people that ordered from C1 without telling them but figured I can boost sales if I advertise it.
I am also thinking of giving small gifts to people who have ordered since I started Avon, about 11-12 camps now - what do people think to that idea?
