Karen, hope you feel better soon, and hope to see you back doing Avon soon.

Lolly, well done, and good luck with your next sign up today.

nixnax, have you tried dropping books at other places than your territory?

echo and princessloki - thanks for giving us correct info on using credit cards. I was never taught about using Fasttrak as I do all mine stuff online and you cannot use credit cards on line.

I live in quite a secluded area now, not very many shops near me. May have to get a bus on sat to the nearest high street and see what I can do there. Need to really. Don't place my order until next friday so fingers crossed. :o

oh that's such a shame. Umm, see if you can put some cards up in the newsagents in the nearest high street. Hopefully you can generate some customers that way.

Try the beauticians, hairdressers, anywhere there are women working, including clothes shops.

Umm, baby groups, slimming groups, anywhere there are groups of women.

Have you got a Wife and Friends or Women's Institute or something similiar? Try asking them if you can drop a book or two in.

Try schools - the staffrooms, dr's surgeries and dentists.

Would it cost to advertise in your local paper?
  • Yes I am having a rubbish campaign, just about to his HOV I think for C18 on customer orders but I have ordered £50 worth of Xmas presents!! Everyone knows what they are getting from me this year, but money is very tight at the moment.
  • i also have an appointment tomorrow to sort out my income support and declaring myself self employed..its all very scary and exciting.
i hope i can make this SL stuff work as i actually feel i would be better at that then the thrying to sell people stuff...i have never (touchwood) had any problems with my orders, my delivery drivers, payments, customers etc i really enjoy what i do and am quite happy to pass on my knowledge.
so who knows maybe i can make it work :)

Lolly, with such a positive attitude, you will make a fabulous SL and your team will be so lucky to have you as one :)
  • awww thank you.
i actually suffer from aver low self esteem and always worry im not good enough at anything..luckily i have a superb ASM who really does help and encourage me whenever i need it...for me this isnt just about making extra cash its about not being a 'sponger' (for want of a better word) and show my children that with a bit of hard work you can do anything..i dont want a'proper' job because i prefer to take care of my children myself so this has become an ideal solution for me.

my next step is to leaflet drop my cards :)...see if i can get some interest that way :)

Avon is a proper job and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You are a wonderful mum first then a working mum second. And to be a working mum is hard work, and I think you will be fab at it.

I chose Avon because I couldn't get a "proper" job. It is paying the bills and putting food on the table, so no one can complain. And it is hard work, I don't just sit on my bottom all day. Am constantly looking for new customers and new reps.

chin up lady and head held high. Your children are so lucky to have you as a mum xx
