  • Oh, I forgot to add - had some really good results with my avon hampers today. I advertised them at work, and a woman emailed me about them. After I sent her a photo, she ordered one - then emailed me back an hour later - she wants all three of the ones I have got! I am really chuffed about this, as they were my most expensive ones, and I thought that I would be stuck with them. Even better, most of the products I got through creative ordering, and all three baskets in total cost me less than £15 to make - and I sold them for £60 in total. So I am happy bunny now! Out of 25 baskets, I only have 6 left, and as these are the cheaper ones, I will try them on the car boot in a few weeks.
  • Well done, pugsley. Think maybe I should've done something similar - have sooooo much product now!

Just wondering, is anyone else having probs with the Accounts Dept side of things? For the first time ever have received an email reminding me that I have a small amount outstanding on my account (this is actually for items I've claimed credit for and which are waiting to be returned with my next delivery). Have always just settled the nett amount I owe and never had this type of 'reminder' before. Is it me or have Avon changed their modus operandi?

Marsden Cuckoo, one of my customer's ordered the Orange offer and when I keyed the order it showed with a red cross. At 8.30pm when I was submitting my order, it showed green cross.

So at the moment I wouldn't worry too much about red crosses.

I never used to have a printer, so I used the returns book to complete and send back goods.

Thanks again aureol. Guess time will tell. Bit reluctant, however, to put this catalogue out to the rest of my customers if that offer is already OOS. Just defeats me how they can be OOS on a free offer!

Whilst writing, wonder if I'm on my own re. this..... Just been preparing my books for when my order arrives next week and it seems that I have more customers on my back campaign than my current one. Is that normal/unusual? Think maybe I need to be moving a few regulars up a bit i.e. it's a lot easier to get away with creative ordering if they're on your current campaign - or is it?

I use my old/backorder brochures to get new customers and once they are a customer they go on the current brochure. I used to find it very confusing when different customers were on different brochures and once even gave a customer a book they'd already had :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and I find creative ordering is much much easier (and I make more from it) when all my customers are on the same brochure xxx

    snipped.

Last time they did an orange offer with mobile phones, not sim cards, they ran out of stock of the phones very quickly. Think they just do not realise how large the uptake will really be.

One of my reps got this email, she had credits pending and couldn't understand it, and when I looked at it realised despite credits, she still owed avon money! So told her the amount she had to pay, as she had underpaid, and she paid it.

Think with Christmas coming up, they are just making sure their money is paid upto date, am sure they have had situations in the past where people have had goods and not paid and then left avon owing them money.

Was also talking to someone in Corby Call Centre about my credits, and how not all were showing, and she said it can take upto 28 days for them to process the credits, as they have to have them back.

Avon at the end of the day is a business and is accountable for its profit and loss, so think they are just tightening rules to make sure they are not losing money unnecessarily.

Yes Pugsley, it would be good to see your hampers. I made two, and stuck in avon books but as someone said to me, I should have put the book under the basket and put the cellophane over the top.

So here are the pics, imagine them without the avon books....:rotfl:

I didn't take pics of them with the cellophane on, so can't show you that.

thanks for all your help, after i wrote that post i found out tom goes in hospital on the 15th for a week, so now i cant do c1 as i wont be here to give it out or put order in, so i think i am either going to miss out c1 am i allowed to miss one campaign out? im sure my customers wont mind if i explain situation as its only 1 week longer without doing c1 before their c2 orders, i am annoyed though as i already have c1 brochures but it cant be helped.
  • Those hampers look fab. I haven't really prepared for xmas very will this year. I think next year I may go all out like you guys.

Well my delivery came yesterday. For once everything was correct (a rarity for me!) only 2 times were OOS but will be delivered in due course. I managed to deliever all of my orders bar 2 which I'm very happy about. I can have my weekend to myself :j

I got the snuggle boots as a freebie this camp and i have fallen in love with them! They are SOOOOOO comfortable!

I only have 1 and 1/2 roads on the previous camp which is about 40 houses, but only around 5-6 orders ever come from those roads!

Not quite sure how i'm going to handle the 2 short camps yet. I'm only on 18 so this is still a full one! I think I may put both books out and explain that 1/2 of their order will be delivered on 1 date and 1/2 the other date, depending on which book they order from. Obviously this wont be very good for creative ordering as the customers will be doing this themselves
