It's now 3 years and I got a call from mackenzie hall randomly 2 weeks ago asking for payment. I told them I had been dealing with another company which then stopped contacting me and the woman demended payment immediately. I told her I only left finished uni a month ago and wasn't in any position to pay but sheinsisted that I pay within 7 days. It's 2 weeks now and I've been ignoing them but received a leter from their litigation manager today saying they were sending their officersto my house and from there will be taking me to court if I still don't pay.

I really don't know what to do. Thank you

Hi I would suggest that if they contact you with any firm threat of action, you send a CCA request out if this is a credit cards, catalogue or loan.

You need to give us a bit more information. Is this letter in your name, your fellas name or a mix of the two?

And what did you order when. If it was on-line then different rules apply, for instance.

the letter is mine but i used my fella surname there is not much info on the letter all it says is to ring them about a personal matter.it doesnt say wot i owe and who i owe it too

Hi there. I have just found this site and have been reading it with interest. I have had MH onto me for the last4-5 years relating to an old capital one credit card i had in 1997. The used to write to me on a monthly basis threatening court action, seizure of earnings etc if i didn't pay them the amount. Finally, last year, i came to an agreement to pay them off in monthly installments. The balance at the moment is £950 and they have just sent a letter saying that they would clear the debt if i paid 650. i have a cheque in my hand for that amount, the question is after reading this site, do i send it or not.
please help.

Its statue barred as its over 6 years old.

Sorry to be a bit thick on financial matters, but what does that mean.
I have been paying them a monthly amount for the last year, does this affect the statue barred position?

Hi everyone

i recived a lettler today from mackenzie hall and i have never heard of them till today. my lettler came in a brown envelope as well. My letter said they are attempting to contact the above named person (which is me ) regarding a personal matter ( which i have no idea about) but i have had no phone calls or any texts.Then it goes on to say that they have been provided my adress as being the possible residential details for our subject. They want me to phone them immeditately on the phone number they have given me and quoting my refernce number which further detaild information can be provided. The only thing is i dont owe any one any money. i was worindering if i choukd give them a call and find out what it is about but i have read some of our posts and i dont know what to do is there any one who can help me ?

Do a credit check to see if there is anything on there.

Do not ring this mob at all. wait until they send something that indicates what the problem is before you do anything.
