I went into a shop last week that had loads of wham bars and other 'old' sweets. I got a couple of the licorice wands filled with sherbert, yum.

We found one of them while on holiday. Had all the jars of sweeties so got 1/4 of cola cubes and pineapple chunks, Hubbles got some aniseed balls (or nigga balls as they are called in South Africa - totally non PC but quite funny) and some penny sweets (cola bottles, fruit salas, shrimps, milk bottles...) I think we spent about a £5er- totally worth it.:rotfl:

In other news I think we've decided on a cot. This one . :o I know its not freecycle or MSE but we're going to wait until sale time and see if there's money off to be had. We'll just have a crib/moses basket for when Bean comes home to start with anyway.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Yay! I've reached £50 on there once, but it took about two months to get the last couple of quid (and then you have to wait a month for the cheque :rotfl: )

On a good note, I did get a full sized bottle of Aveda clove colour care shampoo through the post yesterday, I think it was from one of the Marie Claire birthday comps

Been offered even MORE teaching today  a half day Presentation Skills course and a half day Telephone Skills course. I said I'd think about them - I was also told I could do Minute Taking, Leadership or Chairing a Meeting, but I just feel I'm biting off more than I can chew - they seem to have high hopes for me for this teaching malarkey - I'm shaking in my shoes! :o

On the retro biscuit debate, I hated pink wafers and I used to bite off the icing bit of the Iced Gems and just eat the biscuit! I don't like those iced ring biscuits either.

Oh, to bring back Gypsy Cremes though.......... (and never leave me in charge of a bag of Frazzles - particularly the own brand ones - they will disappear in seconds!!)

  • When me n Bunny had a wander round Glasgow during the meet, we found a lovely retro shop selling all sorts of fabby sweeties!

This was while Smashed and Linda were off buying shoes and jewellery...
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

  • How about pink cider quaffing tutorials?

BB - take the teaching thing as the vote of confidence with which it is intended....... however i agree it sounds like they want you to burn the candle at both ends (and not in a good sexy, get drunk way!) Maybe you need to suggest some joined up thinking to them and cut your admin hours a little, if the workload isn't there for it, and finish a little earlier so you can lesson plan.... i assume the teaching pays better than the admin?
